5 Draft for Comments Only Doc No.: PCD/27/11127 IS/ISO : 2004 ISO : 2015 BUREAU OF INDIAN STANDARDS (Draft Indian Standard) PLASTICS DETERMINATION OF THE DEGREE OF DISINTEGRATION OF PLASTIC MATERIALS UNDER SIMULATED COMPOSTING CONDITIONS IN A LABORATORY-SCALE TEST ( First Revision ) ICS Not to be reproduced without permission of BIS or used as Standard Last date for receipt of comment is: 20/01/2017 Methods of test for Plastics Sectional Committee, PCD 27 NATIONAL FOREWORD This Indian Standard (First Revision) which is identical with ISO : 2015 Plastics Determination of the degree of disintegration of plastic materials under simulated composting conditions in a laboratory-scale test issued by the International Organization for Standardization (ISO) was adopted by the Bureau of Indian Standards on the recommendation of the Methods of test for Plastics Sectional Committee and approval of the Petroleum, Coal and Related Products Division Council. This standard was originally published in The first revision of this standard has been undertaken to align it with the latest version of ISO : The text of ISO Standard has been approved as suitable for publication as an Indian Standard without deviations. Certain conventions are however not identical to those used in Indian Standards. Attention is particularly drawn to the following: a) Wherever the words International Standard appear referring to this standard, they should be read as Indian Standard. b) Comma (,) has been used as a decimal marker while in Indian Standards, the current practice is to use a point (.) as the decimal marker.
