WRITTEN IN THE STARS SYNOPSIS The play takes place in a donut shop where Ed and Paul meet. While chatting about nothing important, Ed reveals that he s devestated and very confused over a breakup letter written to him by Natalie. A total of nine characters, 4 female, 5 male.
WRITTEN IN THE STARS Morning, Donna. Morning, kid. Glazed twist? Speak up, I can t hear you. Glazed twist? That wasn t so hard now, was it. (mimes picking up a set of tongs. To herself: All day long, people pointing and mumbling, pointing and mumbling... (to Nathan) How many? Sorry? How many glazed twists do you want? Oh, just one please, thank you. ( mimes (in real time) getting the donut for, then: Anything else? Is that coffee fresh? (very clearly)
No, it s from last month. Are you serious?! Of course not, kid, we just made it. Oh ok good, I ll have a medium please. (Donna mimes getting the cup, pouring the coffee) And I m not a kid! (beat) Did you hear me? No, what did you say? I said I m not a kid! I m not a kid, I m not your buddy and I m not your friend, my name is Nathan and I m a grown man! Ok, ok, sorry about that, Nathan. Ten dollars. Here ya go. Thanks. You have a good day, Nathan. Ok, Donna, thanks, you too!
REUNITED SIDES "Reunited is about three sisters who reunite after being apart for sometime. The play mainly focuses on the special bond between sisters and how they stick together support each other no matter what." There's clearly something wrong. Seriously like what's up with you Dani? You re acting so weird. Like not at all yourself. What do you two mean? I'm fine. You sure? You re just acting a lot like fifteen year old Dani. What does that mean? You seem to be a bit moody and depressing like when you had that gothic phase. gothic phase? Come on remember when you dyed all your hair dark blue had a wardrobe full of clothes from Hot Topic and listened to nothing but Alice Cooper. Hey Alice Cooper is good. Dani are you sure you are ok? Yes! Nothing is wrong I'm fine I promise! So this isn t about you not going to London?
No. Or Liam? What? No! tries to get up but and stop her Nope as the big sister I forbid you to get up until you are happy and totally out of this funk. There is no funk! Well something seems to be up with you. You're not getting up until I see a smile on your face. gives a fake smile See there you go. Wow that was the worst fake smile I've ever seen.
Till Death Do Us Part synopsis "A man who is about to commit suicide finds himself face to face with a beautiful personification of death. After falling in love with her, he starts to murder various people in Southern California just to see her again." Till Death Do Us Part Azrael: Not if you don t jump! But you can t do it can you? God! You actors are always so dramatic, ya know I am a busy woman. I can t just come running when you all want some attention, GOD you attention seeking Whores! All of you!--- (Azrael goes on ranting about how annoying actors are, all the while David becomes more and more infatuated by her angelic beauty, finally Azrael notices the man looking at her) Azrael: WHAT!? David DeMorte: You You can t be Death, you are beautiful. Where is the skull? The long black cloak? The deep booming voice? You know (puts on a fake death voice) I AM DEATH! I AM THE GRIM REAPER! WHERE IS ALL THAT? (Azrael is taken aback by his comments on her looks) Azrael: Well, thank you. Oh, and I dropped the scary death voice eons ago I was an old woman for a bit too, but everyone started thinking I was their grandma, and that got old real fast. David DeMorte: So you made yourself a sexy 21-year-old? Azrael: Exactly! But usually the person I am coming for is already on the brink of death, not faking a suicide for publicity. GOD! FUCKING ACTORS! David DeMorte: Hey! I am committing suicide, I'm not just doing it for
publicity, I just Can t do it (Azrael storms off with a grunt) David DeMorte: Wait! Can I have your number? (Blackout)
Gupp-a-licious "From a fishbowl in a teen s bedroom, we see from the eyes of 4 goldfish how connected we care for ourselves and other life forms in the world around us. This chain reaction leaves a footprint effect that is either harmful or good." Monologues Male Character You want a piece of me, baby? Well, bring it on! I m real sexy and I know it!! You guys are lucky to get to stand by me. That s right, you heard me. I ve got places to be and people to see. (Looks down at his phone, texting, looks back up) It s been real I got to get in the house before curfew or my Dad will chew my ass out, says I sleep too much. Parents. Someday, I m goanna get my own place. Nobody-breathingdown-my -neck. It will be paradise, paradise, (breaks into a little dance) paradise!!! Girl Character See that hot guy over there? He s mine! He s my love. He s the kind of guy that makes a girl dream of having a family someday. Sure, I ve played around. Had my share of guys. Not because I am a player. It s just when I was young, I was warned what a big world it is out there and time is not always your friend. My family line has a history of not living until old age. A girl can dream - yet live a little until paradise, paradise (Bats her eyes flirtatiously, breaks into a little dance) paradise!
Gupp-a-liscious Audition Sene Male Character #1 I think I m going to be sick! (Nervously pulls on his clothing) Did you see the way all those humans were standing there, laughing at us? Oh, this can t be good! Male Character #2 Look kid, (Calm & wise manner) it will all work out. You got to brace yourself. It will all be just fine. Male Character #1 Easy for you to say, Mr. know-it-all, it was horrible, I m utterly traumatized from the experience. You wouldn t understand. I told you, this does not look good! Male Character #2 For now, let s all calm down and think rationally. Only the smartest survive. Male Character #3 Were all suffering here besides, it has been said that the meaning of life is that it stops. You guys are going to upset my little cutie! (Looks at Girl Character) Baby, you okay? I love you we will get through this. Girl Character #1 I love you too (She smiles sheepishly and flirtatious-like. Bats her eyes.) I m good. I can t wait to start our new life just you and me. I m so excited. Does your stomach hurt? I am just getting real hungry.
Please take a seat. Mrs. Brady will be right with you. (To COCO) Are you sure you want to do this? Are you kidding me? What choice do we have?
Scene 1 MRS. BRADY s office in Los Angeles, California. Time: The present. SETTING: The large, spacious office of MRS. BRADY, founder and president of the first dedoption agency in Southern California.
