5 Grammar [Past Simple and Past Continuous ] We can talk about an action which was in progress when another action interrupted it using the past continuous and the past simple. Note 1 (while) can come at the beginning or in the middle of sentences. After (while) we use past continuous. Note 2 If (while) comes at the beginning of the sentence we put a comma (, ) in the middle of this sentence.
