2 Q&A with PAXTON PAXTON answers questions about his life, experiences, and good memories Which words describe your personality? Open-minded, friendly, happy, active. Describe your strong sides: I am very open-minded and a capable of having a conversation with anyone. I am also very happy and positive minded, which I think is a great and important feature in a person. Describe your weak sides: I am not great with conflicts and often I would rather avoid them than risk ending up in a fight. What is your marital status? Single. Do you have any children? No. Do you eat healthy? I try. Do you smoke? No. Do you ride a bicycle? Often. How much alcohol do you drink on average per week? I often drink some beers in the weekend if I go to a party. Which countries have you visited? Austria, Croatia, Czechia, Denmark, England, Germany, Greece, The Vatican, Hungary, Italy, Netherlands, Norway, Slovakia, Spain, Sweden, Israel, Palestine and The United States. Which types of sport do you play or have played? I currently play volleyball, but I have also played soccer, basketball and badminton. Which other types of sports are you interested in? Besides the sports I play myself, I also like watching American football, tennis, cycling and Formula 1. List any other hobbies you may have or have had: I am very interested in politics and spend a lot of time following what is going on. I also like fashion and spend some time looking up clothes and especially shoes. List which musical instruments you play or have played: I have played piano since I was a child. Religion: None. How many hours of sleep do you get on an average night? 7. Describe the best holiday you have had: I went with my family to New York for 14 days, and it was simply amazing. I have always dreamt of seeing New York so to finally being able to stand in the middle of such a big city was a dream that came true. Because we stayed there for 14 days we had a lot of time, so were able to see a lot of things. The top of the holiday was a Wednesday night, where we went to see the Broadway play Wicked. I have never seen anything like that, and it blew my mind, and now I am definitely dreaming of coming back to the great city one day and see another Broadway show. What do you like the most about your own country? I like the welfare system very much. I think it is so great that everyone in Denmark gets a chance to make a good life for themselves, and if they lose their job or get sick are able to get help.
3 Q&A with PAXTON - continued PAXTON s dreams, favourites and experiences Who are your idols/heroes/heroines? My idols are primarily sports based. Right now one of my biggest idols is the Greek basketball player Giannis Antetokounmpo. He started off as a poor child from Athens, and now he is a world-star basketball player in the NBA. What are your goals in life? My goal in life is to finish my university degree, getting a job that I like, and also to start a family that I could live with in a nice city. What were your childhood dreams? My childhood dream was to be either a sports star or work with sports as e.g. a sports journalist. Which values do you rank the highest? I value open-mindedness and positivity very highly. Which childhood experience made the biggest impression on you? When I was younger I went to train with a Danish national sports team. I went over there with my dad and granddad. The thing that made it such a big impression on me was, that besides the fact that I was star struck to be running around playing sports with the stars from the national team, I could see how big it was for my dad and granddad afterwards when we walked around to talk and get autographs from the players. Which was your greatest experience or moment? When I trained with a Danish national sports team. Happiest: When I saw my younger siblings for the first time. Funniest: I do not think it is possible for me to pick the funniest moment in my life. I am often laughing all night when I am together with my best friends, as I think they are some of the funniest persons I have ever met. Scariest: The first time I watched a horror movie and then went home to an empty house. Proudest: When I finished my final exam at high school. Most dangerous: I felt a little unsafe when I went to Palestine. Just the thought of being in a country that was in their situation.
4 Q&A with PAXTON - continued PAXTON s dreams, favourites and experiences Greatest sorrow: When I was a child and my pet hamster died. That was pretty sad. What is your favourite colour? My favourite color is blue, because I think it is bright and shows hope and pride. What is your favourite animal? My favourite animal is an eagle. I think it is a very majestic animal, which is the reason I always liked it. What is your favourite kind of food? It is really hard to pick a favourite dish, but I think I would have to go with sushi. If it s made the right way it just tastes incredible, and I really love when I get it. What is your favourite kind of music? The kind of music I listen to really depends on the situation. Right now I am listening a lot to the Danish band Scarlet Pleasure who I think are making some amazing music. What is your favourite kind of car? I have two favourite cars. The first one is a Ferrari F450 Italia Spider. I have always thought it was the perfect example of a supercar. Other than that I also love the Nissan Skyline known from the movie 2 Fast, 2 Furious. What is your favourite kind of pet? My favourite pet is definitely a dog. Right now my family have a dog and I adore it so much. What is your favourite time of year? Without a doubt the summer. I love the warm weather and it is also a season I associate with traveling and vacation. What is your favourite book and/or author? The Harry Potter books. I read them as a child and loved them so much. What is your favourite movie and/or director? I think the Shawshank Redemption is an amazing movie.
