Four pubs, four comedians and a compere guiding 100 people through the streets of Southport with a megaphone. A crawl with a difference and all for only a tenner can t say fairer than that! 26 October Stand Out Southport Town Hall For details call: Young persons workshop Stand Out is the stand up comedy course for 14 to 18 year olds which Southport Comedy Week has hosted for the last five years to great success, seeing some participants going on to develop professional careers in stand up. This year we will host a taster session for young people who want to give it a shot. Nearly 800 young people have taken part in the course since it began as part of the 2002 Liverpool Comedy Festival and now the young people of Sefton can feel the benefit. What makes us gay or straight? What turns us on? What are pheromones? Why are we attracted to one person and not another? What happens chemically in the brain when we fall in love? What is the scientific origin of kissing? Do aphrodisiacs work? The Science of Sex follows Rosie s memorythemed show I Am Nesia, which she was invited to perform at London s Science Museum and at the British Science Communication Conference following her 2008 Edinburgh run.
