1 Ingredients: Life was not meant to be bottled up forever! This jar is jam packed with deliciously interesting questions to inspire you to celebrate something very important YOU! Recipe: Combine a generous slice of your life history with a dash of nostalgia and several cups of facts and feelings. If you follow this recipe you will soon find that you have a very delicious, personal history finished. Draw out a slip of paper, tape or staple it to the top of a blank page. Spend a few minutes thinking about the question, and write a detailed answer. Don t worry about spelling, handwriting, etc. Just tell YOUR story! This jar was prepared to preserve your stories. Enjoy the scrumptious memories My Life In a Jar!

2 Describe a favorite childhood friend and some things you did with him/her. Where did you live when you were born? (Home address, city, county, etc) How many brothers and sisters do you have? Describe them. Tell a story about each of your siblings. What color was your house, your bedroom, your living room as a child? What color is your bedroom now? Describe it maybe draw a floor-plan of your room. Do you remember any of your four grandparents? What are their full names? Write about your memories of them. Do you remember any of your great-grandparents? What are their full names? Write any memories you have of them (if you don t have any, ask your parents and jot down their memories of them). Describe the Christmas tree in your home growing up. How did your family decorate it? When did you put it up, etc.? Tell about your mother personality, characteristic, statues, talents, family stories, etc. Describe your Sunday. What is the most important piece of advice you have learned so far and would want to pass on? Who did you learn it from? Describe a trip to your favorite store. Tell about your social life. Your friends, dances, movies, dating, church, etc. What are your favorites? Colors, flowers, food, activities, hobbies? Do you remember any special feelings you had as a child? Fears, fantasies, spiritual experiences, etc.? Describe your favorite outfit. Describe your favorite spot to visit at Christmastime. Tell about your favorite aunt. Tell about any ancestors your know about names, dates, etc. Tell any stories you have heard about them. What are your mothers best traits? Her worst? Do you share any of these traits with your mom?

3 What church callings have you had? Which have been your favorite? What did you learn from them? What kind of car do you want? Describe a childhood birthday. How do you feel about winning? Losing? Tell about any family reunions you have attended. Tell a courtship story about your parents how did they meet, etc? List each of your aunts and uncles and tell one thing about each of them. What has been the most trying experience in your life? What are your household chores? What do you enjoy the most? The least? Tell about family celebrations, gifts, trips etc. Describe your perfect day and activities done on that day. Write a want-ad for your future husband. What do you think brings good or bad luck? How does your mother spend her time? What is your secret for happiness? Describe a time when you KNEW the gospel was true. Where did your grandparents live? What was their home like? Did it have a certain smell of look? What are some places you went with your mother? Tell about your favorite uncle. Describe a typical school day in Jr. High. Describe a typical school day in high school. Describe a typical summer day. How do you like being the oldest, youngest, or middle child? What are the advantages or disadvantages?

4 Tell about changes you have seen on your lifetime: Society, technology, fashion, fads, political, church, etc. Tell about a service project you were involved in. Describe your first crush. What was he like? Which temple is your favorite? Why? Tell a funny babysitting experience. If you could make one choice over again, what would it be and why? List the birthdates, times and places for everyone in your immediate family. What are you frightened of? Why? Have you met or worked with any famous people? When? Where? Tell about the school buildings where you have gone to school. What is your favorite Young Woman Value? Who is your favorite Young Woman leader? Tell about your favorite prophet why is he your favorite? Describe a family vacation. Describe your mother s wedding dress. What do you know about her wedding? What is the best thing that has happened to you so far? The worst? If you could be an animal which one would you choose and why? What is the most exciting place you have ever visited? What made it exciting? What would you like to be remembered for? Write your testimony of prayer. Describe a childhood Christmas. ONE WORD on how to live a successful life.

What was a favorite place to go with your family when you were young? Did it snow where you lived as a child? What did you do in the snow? Tell about your childhood bicycle. How many cousins do you have? Tell about your favorite cousin. What do you like to do together?

What is your yard like? Do you do any yard work? What is your favorite candy? Tell about your favorite time to eat that candy (At the movies, on a car trip, etc.). What do you feel is the most significant thing that has happened in your lifetime? What is your favorite scripture and why? Who is your best friend? Tell about her/him. Make a short list of the current prices of common items (gallon of milk, gallon of gas, movie ticket, candy bar, pair of jeans, pair of shoes, house, car, etc). Ask your parents to give you the prices of those same items when they were your age list their answers too. For fun, you could even ask your grandparents! What is your favorite restaurant? What does your family do that is different from other families? What is your favorite season? Why? Name one thing you would like to learn to do. Tell why you would like to learn to do it.
