Woman: Yes, and it s as comfortable as my bed. 3. Boy: I don t like English class. Girl: Why not, Sam? English is really easy. Boy: That s true, but I don t think English is as easy as French. 4. Girl 1: Is the boy as tall as his father? Girl 2: No, he is shorter than his father. 5. Girl: My sister is 15 years old. Betty is 17 years old. 6. Boy: I want to go to the circus tomorrow. Girl: The weather is so nice today. Let s go to the beach. Boy: But the beach is not as fun as the circus. 7. Girl: Are you OK? You look sad. Boy: I didn t get a good score on my math test. Girl: It s not that bad. Your score is as good as mine. 8. Boy: Whose bike is cleaner, mine or yours? Girl: Mine, of course. Yours has some dirt on the tires. The hospital is far from here. How do you go to work? Woman: I drive my car. Do you drive your car to work? Man: No, I go to work by motorcycle. Woman: Are there any laundries here? I don t like to do the laundry. 4

5 Man: I don t, either. There s a laundry next to the bank. You can go there. Woman: Thanks. Man: Oh, there s a new restaurant in town. I ll go there for dinner tomorrow night. Do you want to go with me? Woman: No, thanks. I ll work tomorrow night. Conversation 3 Girl: Ben, let s go see a horror movie. Boy: We can t. We re only 16 years old. Girl: Oh, how about going to KTV? I like singing. Boy: Sorry, I can t sing. I m terrible at singing. Girl: Well, I guess you want to play baseball. But I don t like baseball. Boy: Don t worry. I don t like it, either. I m going to watch a soccer game tomorrow. Do you want to go with me? Girl: Sure, I ll go with you. B David wants to watch a horror movie. His brother does, too. Both of them think horror movies are exciting. 2. Linda doesn t like animated movies. She likes romantic movies, and Zoe does, too. 3. I won t go to school tomorrow and my sister won t, either. Unit 5 p Waiter: Hello, may I take your order? Woman: Well, everything on the menu looks delicious. I need your suggestion. Waiter: Do you like seafood? Woman: No, I don t. I m allergic to it. Waiter: How about curry beef rice? It s very popular. Woman: Does it taste spicy? Waiter: A little bit, but it tastes good. Woman: Good. I ll have that and some chicken pasta. Waiter: Would you like some dessert? Woman: No, thanks. I try not to eat sweet food. Waiter: How about drinks? Woman: Yes, I want a cup of black tea. No sugar, please. Waiter: OK. Woman: Danny, did you sweep the floor? Boy: No, I mopped the floor. Woman: Did Amy sweep the floor? Boy: No, she mopped the floor, too. 8. Girl: How does your grandpa look? Boy: He is tall and thin.
