2 Phili Moore Phili Moore was bor i 19. He studied at the Royal College of Music i Lodo where he wo a variety of rizes for orga layig. He was also a rize-wier i the Royal College of Orgaists examiatios. I additio to his RCM qualificatios, he has a Bachelor i Music degree from the Uiversity of Durham. Followig graduatio he joied the music sta at Eto before movig to Caterbury Cathedral as Assistat Orgaist. I 197 he became Orgaist ad Master of the Choristers of Guildford Cathedral, ad moved i 19 to become Orgaist ad Master of the Music at York Mister. He retired from the Mister i July 200 ad was aoited as Orgaist Emeritus. I additio, the Archbisho of York awarded him the Order of St William, a hoor etirely i the gift of the Archbisho. I 2007 he received hoorary fellowshis from the Royal School of Church Music, the Guild of Church Musicias ad the Academy of St Cecilia ad i Jauary 201 he was awarded a hoorary doctorate by the Uiversity of York. Much of his time is ow take u with comositio i all forms. He is also a itierat orgaist i North Yorkshire, as well as beig orgaist of his local arish church, St Michael s, Barto le Street. There are two CDs devoted etirely to his choral ad orga music. He has also recorded as a solo orgaist ad choir director. Other comositios have bee recorded both i the Uited Kigdom ad i the USA.
