Text 1 THE WORLD AT YOUR FINGERTIPS Amazing adaptive technology The people in the photo are all talented and creative teenagers. They all go to local schools with other teenagers, but, different from the other students, they use adaptive technology. They just have special computers and software to help them to read and write Braille in the classroom. This is because these teenagers are blind. Although they cannot see, they do not go to special schools. Many of them are excellent students and have many abilities. They can learn because they have amazing technology to help them. These teenagers can read notes with special software that can scan and print text in Braille. They can study Math with a graphic calculator program. They can scan, read and write music. They can listen to audio books and learn anything they want, including foreign languages. All of these teenagers plan to graduate with their classmates and go on to college. They have a dream and a brilliant future ahead of them.
