2 EVENT OVERVIEW As part of its Beer for a Better Burque program Tractor Brewing Company is hosting Cancer Services of New Mexico s Brew Ha! Ha! Comedy Night and Dad Joke Competition to support New Mexican families coping with cancer. The event is scheduled from 7-10pm on Saturday, October 20, at Tractor Brewing Company s Wells Park Tap Room, and will feature a great line-up of professional comedians along with a multi-round amateur competition to crown Albuquerque s 2018 Dad Joke Champion. Local companies can do some team building and support this event at the same time. Just cover the $200 entry cost for someone from your company to compete in the Brew Ha! Ha! Dad Joke Competition, then hold a pre-event Dad Joke Competition among your staff to see who ll get the opportunity to represent your company at the big event! ABOUT CANCER SERVICES OF NEW MEXICO Formed in 2001, Cancer Services of New Mexico (CSNM) is an independent, volunteer-driven, nonprofit organization that provides a range of education and assistance services to reduce cancer suffering for New Mexico s families. We are the only non-profit organization that looks broadly at addressing gaps in cancer-related services while maintaining a 100% focus on New Mexico. CSNM serves over 1,200 New Mexicans coping with cancer each year through programs like the nationally recognized Family Cancer Retreat, the Legal, Insurance & Paperwork Assistance (LIPA) Program, the Family Cancer Resource Bag Program and the Caregiver Support Program. With no physical office and minimal administrative costs, we direct over 95% of funds raised directly to program services. Then prove it by entering the Dad Joke Competition! The $200 entry fee gets you a commemorative T-shirt and a chance to compete for the title of Albuquerque s 2018 Dad Joke Champion! Get your friends, family and coworkers involved in supporting Cancer Services of New Mexico, a great local organization that provides education and assistance to over 1,200 New Mexicans coping with cancer each year. It s pretty simple.if you laugh, you lose! Prior to the start of competition all entrants will be randomly assigned a position in the Dad Joke Bracket. Play will occur in multiple rounds in a single-elimination format. Each match will feature two competitors taking turns telling jokes they hope will make their opponent laugh. A coin toss will be used to determine who tells the first joke in each match. Whoever laughs first, as determined by the Dad Joke Judge(s), will be eliminated; the other person will move on to the next round. The winner of the final round will be named Albuquerque s 2018 Dad Joke Champion and will win a free keg of beer from Tractor Brewing Company. Entrants must submit a completed entry form and $200 entry fee prior to the event. All entrants must be at least 21 years of age. All decisions of the Dad Joke Judge(s) are final. ENTER EARLY! A maximum of 32 entries will be accepted. If you re new to Dad Joke competition there are tons of hilarious YouTube videos of both women and men cracking Dad jokes online. We encourage you to do some research to prepare for the big event!
