5 READING ANALYSIS: AUTHOR S WORD CHOICE An author s word choice helps the reader visualize what is being said and helps to understand the author s attitude towards the subject. What are descriptive sentences that the author uses to help us visualize what is happening in the book?

7 REVIEW: RELATIVE PRONOUNS Fill in the correct relative pronoun: The spider, Sam tried to trick out of its burrow, was too smart! It would not come out.
