1 Rebecca Lowe & Kuba TECH RIDER The Ultimate Musical Odyssey with MULTI-INSTRUMENTALIST KUBA and VOCALIST REBECCA LOWE PLEASE NOTE: The following technical requirements are integral to the successful presentation of the show. If any of these requirements cannot be met, please promptly contact Kuba Kawnik at: or Phone at MEMBERS OF THE BAND: onstage are a total company of TWO (2): Kuba (on vibraphone, kalimba, theremin, guitar, violin) and Rebecca (on vocals), inclusively hereinafter referred to as Artist. PERFORMANCE SPACE & STAGING: This show can be performed on a proscenium or thrust stage, provided the minimum performing area is not less than 30 x 24. The entire stage and backstage area should be cleaned and clear of clutter. If presented on a large stage, standard blacks (curtains) or flats are highly recommended to tighten the performance space and create a more intimate atmosphere. When other venues, such as school flex-spaces ( cafe-toriums ) or spaces not considered typical theatre venues are being used, outside light sources should be minimized as much as possible, with a preference for full-stage black-out capability. When possible, the performing area should be properly draped, with an upstage black drape and/or screen/scrim, covering the entire area from stage left to stage right, and downstage legs to allow for stage exits and to provide hidden access to dressing rooms. P.A.SYSTEM: The best professional quality equipment available, to include: - Mixing console (10-channel minimum) with discrete monitor mix capability - Graphic equalizer (10-band minimum) for monitor mix. - Built in Effects such as Reverb (available for each channel) - Adequate power and full-range speaker coverage to fill the performance area with clean, professional sound amplification at a comfortable volume level - Two (2) floor wedge monitors with one mix - One (1) monitor mix for in-ear monitor (in-ear wireless receiver provided by Artist) 1 of 5

2 Rebecca Lowe & Kuba TECH RIDER STANDS AND STOOLS: Please use round-based mic stands - NOT TRIPODS. - Three (3) mic stands (straight, no boom) - One (1) wooden bar stools - Four (4) music stands (no lights necessary) MICROPHONES & AMPS: - Two (2) vocal microphones on stands (Wireless, Shure SM 58 preferred) - One (1) microphone for piano (Shure SM 90 A Omni - if available) - Four (4) DI es (2 - stage center; 1 - stage right; 1 - stage left) - Kuba will provide his own Wireless System including Headset (AKG). Please make sure to have 1 available line for it. INSTRUMENTS: - One (1) grand piano - must be tuned and in perfect working condition IF AVAILABLE ELECTRIC HARDWARE: - Two (2) long extension power cords LIGHTING: - Full front wash covering the entire stage area. Additional stage lighting and back lighting to taste. - One (1) spotlight with operator - IF AVAILABLE PROJECTOR SCREEN: - Projector screen will be used during performance. If it s not built-in, portable screen is requested. Projector provided by Artist. DRESSING ROOM: - One (1) dressing room with wardrobe rack, lighted mirrors, sink & access to private rest rooms - bottled drinking water for performers and crew - ** a selection of fresh fruits and light snack foods (finger sandwiches, crackers, etc.) ** Special Note: On occasion, it is extremely helpful for the venue to provide dinner for the company and crew, due to tight travel schedules. However, this is NOT a requirement of the rider. If dinner is provided, the light snack foods may be omitted from hospitality requirements. CREW REQUIREMENTS - One (1) crew person with complete knowledge of the venue s technical equipment and qualified to operate all of the equipment. - At least Two (2) crew persons to assist with load-in and load-out. - One (1) lighting operator. - One (1) sound operator. - At least One (1) spotlight operator (if spotlights are available) 2 of 5

3 Rebecca Lowe & Kuba TECH RIDER Note: the same people may perform the various duties required of the crew, provided there is a minimum of Two (2) crew members total. CONCESSIONS: - One (1) banquet-style rectangular tables, placed prominently in the lobby of the venue, and staffed with One (1) person, for the sale of merchandise, both during the intermission and at the conclusion of the performance. ACCOMMODATIONS: - One (1) non-smoking hotel/motel rooms, for 2 nights when travel exceeds 4 hours from Nashville, TN, preferably near the venue. Acceptable standard for hotel should be similar to AmericInn, Hampton Inn or Holiday Inn Express. Artist must approve all accommodations. LOAD-IN / SET UP / SOUND CHECK: For performances that occur in the evening, access to the performance space is required four (4) hours prior to the opening of the house. A full sound check will take place approximately three (2) hours prior to the opening of the house. For performances that occur in the morning or early afternoon, access to the space is required no less than Three hours prior to the opening of house. If this does not occur, the performance may not take place.
