1 Terra Nova Plaza Chula Vista s Got Talent Contest Calling talented vocalists, dancers, bands, ventriloquists, comedians, novelty acts and other performers to enter the Chula Vista s Got Talent contest at Terra Nova Plaza, located at 394 E H Street and East H Street in Chula Vista, CA Auditions are Thursday, July 21 from 3:30 7:30 p.m. Finals are Thursday, July 28 at 7 p.m. Contestant Eligibility Entry is FREE. ONLY Chula Vista residents can enter. ALL age contestants children through adults can compete Entry open to soloists or groups, 2+ contestants performing together such as a 10 member dance group, a singing duet, a 3 piece band. How to Enter Complete the following Chula Vista s Got Talent two forms in advance or bring to the Auditions on July 21. o o Submit ONE Entry Form for contestant soloist or group (2+ performers). Example: if Trio just submit ONE Entry form. Summit Individual Liability & Release Form for EACH performer. Example: if Trio the three contestants must EACH complete Individual Liability & Release Form. Advance Entry Form and Release submission is recommended to get reserved Audition time for July 21, rather than having to wait in line. 2 The Auditions Auditions are Thursday, July 21 from 3:30 7:30 p.m. at Terra Nova Plaza. Pre registered contestants should arrive at least one half hour before their scheduled Audition time. We recommend bringing copy of the Entry and Release Forms should the check in staff not have on file. On site competition registrants will receive an audition number at check in. If you are not a soloist contestant, designate one member of your duet, trio or larger contestant group to check in. Terra Nova Plaza will provide the following: Sound system and sound tech to play music from a USB Stick, iphone, ipad or CD for dance and vocal performances without instruments. 30 x 30 outdoor audition space. Musicians can bring their own sound system but reminder that limited power access is available. Solo vocalists or dancers may be accompanied by non contest entry musician(s) Dressing rooms are NOT available so optional wear performance attire for the Auditions. Each Soloist or Group will have up to two (2 1/2) minutes to audition. The Judges have the option to request shorter or longer performances from contestants. The Auditions are open to the public. The Audition Judges, with diverse vocal, music, dance, theater and performance expertise, will select finalists. The Judges will determine the number of finalists. Finalist Notification. Finalists will be contacted by July 24, 2016 at 5 p.m. Finalists names will be posted on the Terra Nova Plaza website (terranovaplaza.com) and Facebook (facebook.com/terranovaplaza) on July 15 by 5 p.m.

3 Finals Chula Vista s Got Talent begins at 7 p.m. on Thursday, July 28, Terra Nova Plaza will provide the following: Sound system and sound tech to play music from USB Stick, iphone, ipad or CD for dance and vocal performances without instruments. Microphone (hand held and stand option) Stage; depending on size of group or type of performance, finalists have the option to perform on stage, or in front of stage. Solo vocalists or dancers may be accompanied by non contest entry musician(s). Folding chairs will be available for soloists or groups with up to 10 performers; larger groups should bring additional chairs as needed. Dressing rooms are NOT available so finalists should wear performance attire. New Judges, not the Audition panel, will select the Chula Vista s Got Talent winners. Attendees at the Finals can vote to select a People s Choice winner.
