4 Over the last two years we have shipped some of London s finest food trucks half-way across the world to the Arabian dessert and international metropolis of Dubai and Abu Dhabi and - together with a select crew of top local, home-grown street food traders have staged a series of street food festivals across the region in a celebration of amazing food! The festivals are a unique, large-scale, highprofile food festival road-show covering three major cities across the Emirates taking place over three consecutive weekends in three fantastic venues across the UAE. The festival travels from Al Jhali Park in the affluent Oasis town of Al Ain, to Mushrif Central Park in Abu Dhabi City and finally to Burj Park, Downtown Dubai at the feet of the iconic Burj Khalifa, the tallest building in the world. #globalstreetfoodontour

6 THE OPPORTUNITY Low-Risk, High Reward We are looking for 10 highly professional, experienced street food traders able to represent the UK street food scene on the international stage and take up the challenge to join us for our next adventure in February 2017! Taking part in this event offers the right street food operator a unique opportunity to travel and trade for very low risk, with a huge amount of support and the potential of fantastic returns. Venues & Dates: Al Ain Feb 2017 Abu Dhabi City Feb 2017 Dubai Feb 2017 What We Provide: Traders will be provided with: 1. Return Flights for 2 people Cost: We take the risk for you and the ONLY upfront cost to traders will be a commitment fee of * or 5* accommodation, including breakfast, for 2 people for the duration of the stay (likely to be from 5/2/ /2/2017) Additional costs to traders are: 3. Shipping costs will be covered for food trucks, equipment and branding - Independent ingredients and equipment costs 4. Support in provision of supply chain for sourcing ingredients - Cost of the cashier that we recruit, train and manage for you (approx 11 per hour) 5. Provision of prep kitchen facilities - A 20% share of turnover from your activities at each festival 6. Support for all legal, licensing and financial requirements to trade in the UAE 7. A NEW feature for 2017, the Reel Food Film Festival will be a special zone where visitors can relax and unwind in an open-air cinema and watch a selection of fantastic food dedicated shorts, docs and feature-length films in a multisensory experience. A carefully curated programme of stimulating, thought-provoking and entertaining films exploring the diverse themes of food will be paired with a bespoke themed food menu on offer during the screenings. Country overview: - The UAE is a federation of seven emirates on the Arabian Peninsula, along the Persian Gulf - Abu Dhabi is the capital - Dubai is the largest city in the emirates and is a highly developed, international global centre - Arabic is the official language though English is widely spoken (of the UAE's 9.2 million population only 1.4 million are Emirati citizens and 7.8 million are expatriates) - The UAE is ranked #6 richest country in the world, $67,674 GDP (PPP) per capita (The United States is ranked #9, $54,630 GDP (PPP) per capita), mostly derived from its massive oil and natural gas reserves - Temperatures in the UAE in February average 25 degrees with long hours of sunshine Culture While rooted in a traditional, nomadic Bedouin dessert culture, the UAE is an incredibly dynamic, forwardlooking nation and has a tolerant multicultural, international society which allows for individual expression, though also expects a respect for its own conservative values and laws. The UAE food scene There is an established passion for good food in the region, people care about food a lot. In fact it is pretty much their most popular pastime, and they are hungry for street-food! For a long time the UAE food scene has been dominated by high-end restaurants offering fine dining fronted by Michelin stared international chefs or economic, ethnic eateries catering for immigrant communities, and very little else in between. Today this is starting to change and more informal, social food spaces are opening and street food -although still in its early stages- is being enthusiastically embraced. Our Dubai event (Eat the World DXB) is billed as the headline event for the launch weekend of the major annual Dubai Food Festival. NB. Halal principles are respected here which means that alcohol is restricted to specific licensed areas (such as hotels), and no pork is permitted.

Taking part in these festivals offers a unique opportunity to experience a completely different culture and environment as well as being financially very lucrative. Traders should enjoy excellent levels of trading with the potential to easily exceed $15,000 per weekend (and you therefore need to be confident in your ability to handle this). We need traders who have the experience, flexibility and skills to be able to deliver high quality food efficiently and quickly, the ability to manage stock, operate outside their comfort zone in another part of the world and away from their normal supply chain and who are happy to spend a considerable time away from home during February Traders will need to ensure that their menu follows halal principles (no pork, no alcohol). 21 WHO WE ARE Real Food Festivals have staged some of the biggest food events in the UK, London & UAE. Our first annual Real Food Festival took place at Earls Court in May 2008 with 400 exhibitors and international celebrity chefs including Raymond Blanc, Carlo Cracco, Ashley Palmer-Watts, Fergus Henderson and Giorgio Locatelli. We have run the Bristol Organic Food Festival and several regular markets, pop-ups, and dedicated large scale street food festivals at Southbank Centre along the river Thames, the Queen Elizabeth Olympic Park and Regent Street with the Crown Estate, Westminster Council and Regent Street Association. We have a wealth of experience gained over nearly a decade working closely within the food scene in and around London, throughout the UK and internationally. In February 2015 we launched Street Feast, a new food festival road-show taking in the whole of the Abu Dhabi region as part of the Abu Dhabi Tourism and Culture Authority Abu Dhabi Food Festival. In 2016 we went on to launch a brand new series of independent events, also coming into Dubai and working with Dubai Tourism and the Dubai Food Festival. Love Food Festival Abu Dhabi and Eat the World DXB 2017 will build on our unrivalled experience of creating amazing events in this sector.
