Bi-District 7/8 A 4:45 PM-5:00 PM 5:00 PM Awards/Critiques: 6:00 PM-6:30 PM (Approximately) Critiques will immediately follow the awards ceremony and order will be determined by greatest distance for non-advancing shows first and then advancing shows by order of greatest distance. Student Hosts: Students from Plano ISD high schools will serve as host to the participating schools and will stay with the cast and crew throughout the process. Dressing Rooms: Dressing rooms will be provided for each school. Unit Set: Plano West Senior High School will provide the basic unit set. All set pieces will be kept on the back wall of the theatre and marked for proper storage for the next participating school. Auditorium: Plano West Senior High School Theatre seats 700 and is a proscenium stage with a large thrust. Dimensions and locations of curtains have been included in this packet. See attachment. Electrical: Edison outlets are located on all three walls and in floor pockets. Curtains: Grand Drape 3 Sets of Legs with the mid traveler serving as a fourth set. Mid Traveler Back Traveler Cyclorama See attachment for locations

3 Stage Access: Actors and technicians will access the stage from the house right entrance for setup and strike. Cast and crew will strike to the shop after each show and directors may choose to load out after the next show has begun. Plano West Senior High School dimensions allow for set up with either the curtain open or closed. Audience will access the theatre through the building C lobby that faces west. Lighting: ETC/Elec Theatre Controls Ion area plot (see attachment) Wash: Red, Green, Blue Programming will be available. Please bring an empty flash drive to save your show file. We will save your show to the board with an assigned set up numbers and on your personal flash drive. The Plano West site crew will be in the booth and will be available to answer questions but will not be able to run any cues. The control booth is located in the back of the house and may reached from the center lobby entrance. Preprogramming will be made available up to Tuesday, March 27th. Please send all pre-programming cues to norv.sykes@pisd.edu and copy eturek@dentonisd.org. Pre-programming must include Cue #, Area #, Intensity, Wash color and Intensity and crossfade times. Any auxiliary lighting not on the plot must be provided by the participating school and run from the appropriate equipment provided by the participant. Sound: Yamaha CL3 Digital Board with touch screen display CD, Aux capabilities The sound board will be made available to all participating schools and must be run by the participating schools technician. A Plano West site crew will be in the booth and will be available to answer questions. Schools may choose to use their own equipment and run from the stage. Parking: Buses should park in the Northwest parking lot closest to building C Communication Systems: Headsets will be made available in the light booth, sound booth, house right and house left

4 Storage: Storage of set items will be in the theatre shop area, just off of the loading dock. Participants will be allowed to move all of their set pieces from the shop to the garage door leading into the stage right dock entrance. Fog/Hazers: Fog and Haze machines may be used sparingly. Alarms are sensitive and may go off if too much is used. Please notify the Contest Manager and Stage Manager prior to the contest if you plan to use either of these items. Site Crew: Plano ISD students will serve as the site crew and will serve as fly rail, sound booth and light board operators,as well as, hosts and ushers. Program Information: Please make sure all information is correct on your Contestant Entry Mach Form. This will be used to create the program. When it is complete a copy will be sent for you to review before copies are made. Fee: $650 An invoice will be sent by to advancing schools Checks can be made payable to Plano ISD Please bring this to the tech-in with your other paperwork
