Below, you will find a preliminary timeline to help you plan your schedule, as well as venue and transportation information. TIMELINE Please note that the posted timeline is NOT FINAL, and is only meant to give you an idea of how the competition and classes will be structured. There will not be studios available before the competition begins on Friday nor will there be classes available, and Suny Purchase is located quite a distance from New York City.

2 The breakdown will be made clear in the final timeline and detailed schedule. The first draft of the updated timeline with a detailed schedule will be posted after the registration cut-off date, March 25, There will be classes assigned to participants based on their arrival and departure details. For all ensemble participants, if you do not provide us with your arrival and departure details, we will be unable to assign you classes. Please be sure to answer all correspondence with the YAGP Team to ensure that you have the best experience possible.

3 YAGP 2019 New York City 20th Anniversary Finals Important Information PURCHASE, NY About the Venue: The Performing Arts Center, Purchase College is a magnificent performing arts complex, located on the campus of the State University of New York Purchase College - close to the Metro-North rail station (approximately a 35 minute ride to midtown Manhattan). The facility is composed of three theaters: both Concert Hall and PepsiCo Theater have a spacious stage, a backstage rehearsal studio for warming up, ample dressing rooms and lobby space. The Rehearsal Hall is a more intimate venue, which will be used for classes, auditions, rehearsals and special events. The state-of-the-art dance studios, home of Purchase Dance, are located in the Dance Building, next door to the theater complex. This is an ideal location for participants who are planning to drive. 4 SUNY Purchase Studios: Master classes will be taking place in the award-winning Purchase Dance building, situated across from the theatre complex. HOTEL DORAL ARROWWOOD HOTEL Nestled in the heart of 114-acre grounds, the Doral Arrowwood resort hotel offers a selection of upscale amenities, including a fitness center, indoor/outdoor pools, golfing, as well as a formal restaurant, where a complimentary breakfast is open for all guests. Koch Theater This year, in celebration of its 20th Anniversary, YAGP presents a special Gala performance featuring the students from some of its most renowned scholarship presenters. Dancers from American Ballet Theatre Studio Company, Dutch National Junior Company,Princess Grace Academy in Monaco, John Cranko Ballet School, Palucca School of Dresden, English National Ballet School, Australian Ballet School and many others will perform works representing each school s style and artistic tradition. YAGP participants, parents, teachers and general audience will have a chance to see a wide range of choreography - from beloved classics to cutting edge contemporary dance, including works by David Dawson, Jean Cristophe Maillot and other world renowned choreographers. 10 YAGP 2019 New York City 20th Anniversary Finals General Transportation FAQs WHICH AIRPORT SHOULD I BE ARRIVING TO? - The closest airport to SUNY Purchase Performing Arts Center is Westchester County White Plains Airport (code HPN), which is only 10 minutes away ( map ). Second best options would be to fly into LaGuardia Airport (LGA) and John F. Kennedy International Airport (JFK), both around 45 minutes away from the theatre. Newark Liberty International Airport (EWR) is about an hour away. WHICH AIRPORT SHOULD I BE LEAVING FROM? - You can leave from one of the three airports: LaGuardia (40 minutes away from Lincoln Center), Newark (one hour away), or JFK (1h10min away). HOW SHOULD I ORGANIZE MY TRAVEL BETWEEN HOTEL-SUNY PURCHASE THEATRE AND WESTCHESTER-MANHATTAN? - We strongly recommend that you rent a car for the duration of your stay in Westchester, picking it up at White Plains Airport or any other airport of your arrival, and returning it to a location in Manhattan. We suggest you use carrentals.com to find a car. Here are only a few benefits of renting your own car rather than using taxi services: It s much cheaper: car rental for 5 days costs around $250-$300, while one way taxi trip to/from Manhattan to Westchester costs around $100. Parking at Westchester hotels and at SUNY Purchase is free With hundreds of YAGP participants travelling to the same location wait time for taxi can be over 30 minutes WE ARE A LARGE GROUP TRAVELLING TOGETHER. CAN I ORDER A BUS FOR TRANSFER TO MANHATTAN FROM SUNY PURCHASE? That s a great idea if you re a group of 20 and more. We can recommend BusBank Company to cover your transportation needs, however, we invite you to make your own arrangements according to your group s preference. IF I RENT A CAR IN WESTCHESTER, CAN I KEEP IT IN MANHATTAN? - While you, of course, can do that, we advise against it: it s very hard to find parking in Manhattan and it s quite expensive. Hotel and Lincoln Center are within a minute walk, and other studios and theaters are reachable by Uber/Lyft transportation services and yellow cabs. I WANT TO FLY TO NYC BEFORE THE COMPETITION STARTS. WHERE SHOULD I STAY? - We strongly suggest you stay in Manhattan which offers plenty of things to do and lots of studio spaces to rent. However, we advise you to stay in Westchester when the Finals start, otherwise you will spend 2 hours and more on traveling in traffic.

Please note that all train schedules vary between the weekday and the weekend, and peak and off peak schedules. If you are planning to take the train, please visit to view schedules and fares.
