1 London Theater Tour 2019 October Dear Friends, Managing Director Michael Barker and I are planning a weeklong, theater-filled trip to London this October, and we would love for you to join us! We ve led similar trips in the past and have had nothing but fabulous feedback from all participants. For this visit, I will handpick five of the most exciting shows onstage in London, as well as a variety of non-theater activities. Past trips have included tea with a cast member, a discussion with a London theater critic, backstage tours, and more. Please look inside for more information and reserve your space soon! Until we have the full list of what is playing, we cannot make our selections. Below are several theaters we have attended on past tours. The National Theatre The National Theatre s mission is to make world-class theatre that s entertaining, challenging, and inspiring and to make it for everyone. The old vic The Old Vic is a world leader in creativity and entertainment. Building on 200 years of creative adventure, it has recently been hailed as London s most eclectic and frequently electrifying theatre. The Old Vic is mercurial: it can transform into a theatre in the round, a space for live music and comedy, has played host to opera, dance, cinema, music hall, classical dramas, variety, big spectacles and novelty acts.

Just minutes from each other, these hotels are located near the theater district and are walking distance to many popular sights. With 196 rooms, the Holiday Inn London Mayfair hotel is a comfortable base in the heart of London s theatre and shopping districts, within walking distance of many major sights. The onsite No 3 Berkeley Street restaurant serves a healthy English breakfast, in addition to contemporary British and European dishes for all day dining or a cocktail to wind down after a busy day.

Other room types are available. If you are interested in booking a different room type, or adding additional nights before or after the tour, please contact Beth Huisking at (203) Reservations and Payment Schedules DUE DATE Upon registration August 5, 2019 Reservations will be processed and dated in order of receipt. Reservations must be received by August 5, 2019 to hold space on the tour. Tour price may be higher for reservations received after August 5. While every effort will be made to keep the tour price as quoted, Westport Country Playhouse reserves the right to increase the price based on attendance. Deposit: 50% of tour cost Remaining balance CANCELLATION CHARGE 50% of deposit 50% of entire tour cost no refund Rates are based on group participation and it is understood and agreed that once the tour has started, there will be no refunds for unused portions of the tour for any reason. A portion of the tour price includes a $500 tax-deductible donation, per person, to Westport Country Playhouse in support of its artistic and educational programming. Travel Details Group Size Minimum group size is 8 paid participants. The tour will not operate with fewer people. Documents Needed Valid passport for United States citizens. Passports must not expire for at least 6 months from the date of travel. For other citizenships, visit: Not Included The price for the trip does not include airfare, transportation to or from the airport, meals other than those specified in the overview, personal incidentals such as room service, telephone calls, laundry, etc. Personal items charged to your room must be setteld at time of checkout. Insurance Trip cancellation insurance is recommended to protect the participant again cancellation charges due to illness.
