2 2015 Festival Wrap Up The 2015 GI Film Festival was our best DC festival yet! Held May 18-24, 2015 at the Angelika Film Center in Fairfax Virginia, the festival showcased over 65 films and received more national and international press coverage than any other previous event. Here are few highlights: 65 Film Screenings at GIFF 2015 Over 5,500 Attendees Advanced screening of 20th Century Fox Film SPY North American Premiere of the BAFTA nominated film Kajaki World Premiere of the WW2 action film War Pigs starring Mickey Rourke and Dolph Lundgren Veterans in Entertainment Award Presentation to television personality and Navy Veteran Montel Williams GI Choice Award presentation to actor and Marine Corps Veteran, R. Lee Ermey Congressional Reception featuring keynote Speaker Gary Sinise and attended by 400 members of congress and senior staff. Awards show hosted by Navy Veteran/actor/comedian Jamie Kaler (America Fact vs. Fiction) and featuring the GIs of Comedy.

GIFF DC once again earned the participation of luminaries from Hollywood, the military and Capitol Hill, while attracting a record-breaking audience of military families, wounded warriors, film critics, filmmakers and movie lovers, many of whom came from across the country.
