1 LA CLIPPERS SPIRIT 2017 Audition Information Packet DATE: Open Call Auditions, Monday, July 17, 2017 TIME: LOCATION: PARKING: WHAT TO EXPECT: WHAT TO WEAR: WHAT TO BRING: AUDITION FINALS: Registration & Warm Up, 3:00pm-4:00pm Audition begins promptly at 4:00pm Miguel Contreras Learning Center 322 Lucas Ave, Los Angeles, CA ** Limited Parking will be available on campus** Parking structure is north of the gym; entrance at Lucas Ave and Mirimar St. If the lot gets full, please park on the street across from the school. SUGGESTED Alternative Options: Carpool, Uber, Lyft or drop off/pick up Upon arrival, candidates should proceed to the registration area for check-in; there will be one line for pre-registered candidates and one line for walk-up applications where a driver s license or government-issued identification will be requested. There will be two rounds to the open call audition: (1) Across the Floor and (2) Hip Hop Choreography. A cut will be made after each round. At the end of the day, 40 to 50 candidates will advance to the finals. Details of audition finals will be given at the end of the open call. Two-piece attire (crop top & shorts- bare legs) are mandatory. This helps to standardize and minimize the possibility of an unfair advantage based on individual attire. Please wear athletic shoes with non-marking soles. Hair styled down and performance makeup is recommended. Sweatpants will be allowed during the choreography portion. A photo or headshot, resume, copy of your application (please print clearly), driver s license/government-issued identification Resume may not be used in substitution for application. Finalists selected on Monday, July 17, 2017 MUST be available for interviews and final dance audition on the evening of Tuesday, July 18. Location, time & details will be announced to finalists on Monday, July 17, REQUIREMENTS: All candidates must be at least 18 years of age by Monday, July 17, years of technical dance training is recommended Gymnastics or tumbling skills are a plus All candidates must have flexible schedules for rehearsals, games and appearances starting immediately A total commitment is required to the LA Clippers Spirit Dance Team Rehearsals are MANDATORY, no exceptions

2 MANDATORY DATES: If selected for the LA Clippers Spirit, the following dates are MANDATORY, no exceptions. Please do not plan to audition if you are unavailable for these dates. Team Meeting/Orientation Thursday, July 20, 6:00pm-9:00pm Two Choreography Weekends Saturday, July 29 & Sunday, July 30, 11:00am-3:00pm Saturday, August 5 & Sunday, August 6, 11:00am-3:00pm Pre-register at **Walk up candidates on Monday, July 17 th are welcome!** Bring a recent photo to submit with application. Photo does not need to be professional, but should be a good likeness. Photo must be at least 5 x 7. Photos will not be returned.
