For the 2014 Winter Opera Festival we present two works by Giuseppe Verdi -, and, which is this year's Verdi ycle offering. is set to a French libretto and is a reworking of Verdi's 1843 Italian opera, I Lombardi. It was his first commission for Paris, with significant changes in location, action, and music from the Italian version.
