4 How to Apply Step 1 Online Application You need to create an account online using your address and you should use the same address for your application and any enquiries to us. It would be better for you to complete the form at one sitting; of course you can edit to your partially completed application by logging in to the system using the same address and password you create at the start of the process. You should also upload your recording file (only one aria) in a mp3 format and a photo with your application. The online application allows you to submit your complete application securely and quickly. Your application will not be processed until the deadline. Please remember that it is your responsibility to ensure that your application is complete, including the recording file and all the supporting documents. Please be aware that all documents are non-returnable. Step 2 Document Screening Step 3 Applying for the Audition The document screening is performed by reviewing online application and the recording file and select 180 number of the applicants. The list of applicants passing the 1st document screening will be announced via their registered and on the website ( about further process. Only 180 applicants who passed the document screening will get information via including the link for selecting date and time and paying the fee (350$/ per person) on the original NYIOP website ( If the fee is not paid until the deadline, your apply will be withdrawn automatically.

5 How to Apply Step 4 NYIOP Korea Audition Step 5 Final Casting The NYIOP Korea Audition will be done one by one based on a repertoirie sheet submitted by each applicant. The number of arias will be determined by the needs of casting directors. Some artists sing only their first aria and many times this shows all the panel needs to hear. Most auditions consist of two arias or an initial aria and a portion of a second. Some sing more. However, it is not uncommon for artists to be hired after singing only one aria so there is no formula to success based on number of arias performed in any audition. A Result for the Final Casting will be announced on the NYIOP Korea website.

8 FAQs [NYIOP Korea Audition] Is there a pianist provided by NYIOP Korea? Do I have to pay extra for that? Yes, NYIOP Korea can provide a pianist for FREE and you can choose option during the online application whether you bring your own pianist or not. In some cases, you are free to bring your own pianist to the audition however the fee to the arranged pianist must be paid regardless by yourselves. [NYIOP Korea Audition] Can I do rehearsing with the assigned pianist before the NYIOP Korea Audition? Yes. Before the NYIOP Korea Audition, you have two chances for rehearsing. 1st Rehearsal will be done during Sep 1st and 15th,2018 and 2nd Rehearsal can be done 1 hours before doing your audition. [NYIOP Korea Audition] How many arias do I present? When you begin your audition, you start with the aria of your choice. You first aria should show you the best possible vocally, personality and should be no more than 3-4 minutes long so we have time to hear a contrasting piece. The number of arias will be determined by the needs of the panel. Some artists sing only their first aria and many times this shows all the panel needs to hear.
