2 INTRODUCING THE BRAMALL Our auditorium has hosted high profile concerts and events since its opening in June 2012, and is available for hire by commercial promoters and event organisers. Forming part of the distinctive semi-circle of redbrick buildings on the campus of the University of Birmingham, the Bramall is a magical venue that will inspire and impress. The dedicated team will support you right from the planning stage through to your event night to ensure that you and your audiences will have an unforgettable experience

4 The Bramall was made for a concert like this, the acoustics of the instruments fill the space and the music envelops you. 5 STAGE AND EQUIPMENT 18m wide by 11m deep stage Variations of stage layout, including a thrust stage taking the seating capacity to 450 (available upon request) Stage lift that can raise the weight of a car, with easy access from the back stage door Easy access to the stage from the loading bay, which is on street level Music stands, chairs, orchestral risers and choir stall system for 200 people Steinway D Grand Piano (available for hire) 125A three phase power supply compatible with most touring productions Multiple drapery and lighting trusses available for external production requirements (by prior arrangement) Additional rigging hanging points available upon request Exterior power hook-up for tour buses

10 EVENT SUPPORT: Technical & Management Event Programme Manager for day to day account management and event logistics Technical team for support with AV lighting and sound Stage manager will be in situ, throughout the tenancy of the event Support with get-in of entertainment acts

11 EVENT SUPPORT: Box Office & Front of House Full in-house ticketing service, using SRO software, to include: Pre-Event Sales via the ticket hotline and online at Maintenance of the event once on sale, including weekly sales reports On the night box office, duty management and ushers can be provided if required Post event ticket sales report

12 EVENT SUPPORT: Marketing Event listing on and Inclusion in monthly to the Bramall database, targeted by audience segmentation Poster and leaflet display opportunities in venue Opportunities to undertake exit flyering at related events Inclusion in the wider Bramall marketing communications campaign including regional print advertising, What s On Guides (8,000 copies), banner adverts and PR

14 STANDARD PACKAGE 1,350 PLUS VAT This package includes: TENANCY Up to 10 hours (typically 1330hrs to 2330hrs) - set up and derig to take place during the tenancy SEATING Seating capacity 419 plus 4 wheelchair positions (The seating capacity will be reduced if the front of house mixer positions and ground-stack PA wings are required) Acoustic settings configured in advance to meet requirements (where appropriate) Orchestra seating and stands, laid out for orchestral performance Conductor s podium and music stand set downstage centre One hand held cabled mic for announcements and pre-concert talks. SOUND A basic performance sound package is included: House flown PA system suitable for speech sound reinforcement AV No AV equipment is included in this package; however the house projector and screen are available for hire if required. (Please note, that due to their position on stage this can affect some sightlines for certain performances.) LIGHTING Six static profile spot lights, front facing and focused in pairs Canopy orchestral stage wash in white Eight mid-stage wash lights in white, focused in pairs STAFF Stage Manager up to 10 continuous hours (plus 2 hours of rechargeable over time) Duty Manager - up to 10 continuous hours (plus 2 hours of rechargeable over time) Stewards to suit audience numbers and to sell programmes (if required). Any programme sales will incur a fee of 10% of gross sales, plus staff costs. Merchandise commissions are also charged at 10% of gross sales, based upon artiste selling items.) Services of the Venue or Production Manager, prior to your event. STAGE Forestage up (Forestage seating wagons not in use) Seating tower boxes out (offstage) Choir stalls not deployed Risers set to rear of stage to create three tiers to accommodate orchestral performances A small ground stack system suitable for speech sound reinforcement A single monitor speaker used for foldback on to stage 8 channels of cabled microphones /D.I. to suit light reinforcement (The package price excludes the cost of staff to operate sound equipment) Four mid-stage profile spot lights in white, focused in pairs For requirements other than white light, please speak to the Venue or Production Manager. (The package price excludes the cost of staff to operate lighting equipment.) NOT INCLUDED IN RENTAL PRICE: BACKSTAGE Two green rooms are available for the period of the hire. Both the ground floor and first floor foyers (subject to availability) are provided for concert guests to wait in prior to the performance start and during the intervals.
