2 Auditions All auditions and call backs will take place at Campbelltown Town Hall Theatre at 297 Queen St, Campbelltown. Wednesday 2 nd May, pm-9.15pm Session A Wednesday 2 nd May, pm-10.15pm Session B Thursday 3 rd May, pm-9.15pm Session A Thursday 3 rd May, pm-10.15pm Session B To be eligible to audition for the cast of SHREK all auditionees must be 16 years of age or older on the day of the auditions. The only exception to this will be those auditioning for young Shrek, young Fiona and Teen Fiona. All auditionees for these roles must be 10 years of age or older on the day of the auditions. Singing auditions will be open. Please prepare a song of your own choice. Choose the section that you feel shows your voice at its best, and please bring your own sheet music in the correct key. All auditionees will be required to take part in a group dance audition. The dance audition will be in groups and run during the overlap between session times. There will be an opportunity to participate in a tap element for the dance audition. Should you wish to audition to be a part of the tap ensemble please bring appropriate footwear. Anyone auditioning for the part of Princess Fiona needs to take part in this audition. (Even if you re not the best tapper we d love to see you give it a go) The choreography will be created to the strengths of the cast. It is important that you advise the production team of any prior or current injuries at the time of auditions. Please ensure you are wearing or bring comfortable clothing and shoes to dance in. When booking an audition please specify the timeslot you require. Please bring to your initial audition a copy of your completed audition form and a nonreturnable photograph. Not receiving a callback does not mean you have not been cast in the production, it just means the casting has seen all they need from you. Please ensure you clearly write your address on all audition forms, as this is where we will contact you regarding the callback process.

3 Production Schedule Rehearsals will run Monday and Wednesday from 7:30pm til 10:30pm commencing Monday 14 th May. Once cast rehearsal schedules will be handed out and there is an expectation of attendance at all required rehearsal. If there will be any clashes with time away from rehearsals please inform the production team of these dates. Attendance is compulsory for all full day rehearsals, production week and all show dates. You must specify on your audition form if you have any conflicts on the below dates. 4 All About Shrek "Once upon a time, there was a little ogre named Shrek..." And thus begins the tale of an unlikely hero who finds himself on a life-changing journey alongside a wisecracking Donkey and a feisty princess who resists her rescue. Throw in a short-tempered bad guy, a cookie with an attitude and over a dozen other fairy tale misfits, and you've got the kind of mess that calls for a real hero. Luckily, there's one on hand... and his name is Shrek. Shrek presents a treasure trove of creative opportunities, including costumes, sets, puppets and more! Irreverently fun for the whole family, Shrek proves that beauty is truly in the eye of the ogre. ROLES SHREK Our story's title character. A big, green, terrifying ogre who lives alone on a swamp. He embarks on a journey to rid his land of fairytale creatures and, along the way, falls in love with Fiona. Begins as a grumpy hermit, but reveals his layers and eventually becomes the hero. Age: 25 to 45 Vocal range top: G#4 Vocal range bottom: A2 PRINCESS FIONA The beautiful princess of Far Far Away, she transforms into an ogre every night when the sun sets. Rescued by Shrek and eventually falls in love with him. Quirky, blunt, and multitalented, she is not an ordinary princess. Gender: Female Age: 20 to 30 Vocal range top: G5 Vocal range bottom: F3 DONKEY A talking donkey who joins Shrek on the run from Farquaad's guards. Quite the chatterbox, he is not deterred by Shrek's looks and practically forces himself into his good graces. Easily frightened and pushy, but also an optimistic with heart. Age: 20 to 35 Vocal range top: B4 Vocal range bottom: C3

5 LORD FARQUAAD The comically short, ruthless ruler of Duloc. He is in search of a princes to marry so that he can become king. Has an intensely unfair bias against fairytale creatures that stems from a resentment of his father. Self-absorbed, lonely, and cruel. Age: 30 to 45 Vocal range top: D5 Vocal range bottom: B2 A note from Team Shrek: the role of Lord Farquaad is a physically demanding part. Those who receive a call back for this role will be required to learn additional knee choreography on the callback evening. DRAGON A dragon that has been charged with guarding Princess Fiona in her isolated castle. She eventually falls in love with Donkey and attempts to keep him there forever. Imposing and flirtatious, but tired of her job as the glorified babysitter.
