3 58th season Let the Magic Begin... Fantasy Playhouse Children s Theater & Academy is a 501 c(3) non-profit now serving a third generation of Alabamians as a gateway to theatre arts and arts education. Since 1961, our mission has been to bring the magic of theatre and arts education to the families of the Tennessee Valley through these core programs: production of live children s theatre; education in theatre arts through classes and camps at the Fantasy Academy of Theater; partnerships with local schools; Scout workshops; and community outreach efforts to provide theatre arts access to populations that may be at academic risk due to social and/or economic factors.

9 58th season mainstage productions 9 MAINSTAGE PRODUCTIONS AT FANTASY PLAYHOUSE WHY THEATRE? For over 50 years, Fantasy Playhouse Children s Theater has been making magic onstage and one-of-a-kind memories for the families of the Tennessee Valley. The art of theatre connects us to our world and opens doors to new ways of thinking. Even in our connected, digitally-driven lives, theatre tells relevant stories that help our children make sense of the world around them and keeps us connected to our past. We invite you and your family to take a detour from the every day, and join us to experience the pageantry, the fun, and the magic of Fantasy Playhouse! In the words of Albert Einstein, Logic will get you from A to B. Imagination will take you everywhere. CAN I BE PART OF AN FPCT PRODUCTION? YES! A production at Fantasy Playhouse can require between 200 and 300 volunteers, onstage and off. Our productions provide opportunities for area artists to get involved as volunteer costume designers, craftsmen, scenic artists, musicians, make up/hair designers, and actors. Interested? Contact info@fantasyplayhouse.com AUDITIONS If treading the boards is more to your taste, we want to see you at auditions! We welcome children and adults from the community to audition for any of our shows. Opportunities are open to everyone. Our productions are cast to reflect the makeup of the Tennessee Valley s rich diversity and we hold auditions throughout the season. Keep an eye on our website for dates, actor age minimums, and information about what to prepare for your audition.
