1 SEASON DIRECTOR APPLICATION MISSION STATEMENT We seek to be a vital performing arts organization recognized throughout the greater Houston area for its commitment to cultural activities, theatrical productions with high artistic merit, and quality arts education for youth and adults. VISION STATEMENT Through the production of professional quality shows, and the operation of outstanding classes, camps, and workshops, the PTG will work to become a valuable member of the cultural arts community in the Greater Houston area. PTG strives to provide directors, designers and actors with a safe and enriching environment to enhance their creative abilities and explore their talents, through the production of live theatrical performances. Through all of this, PTG aims to be recognized as an example of a thriving arts and entertainment organization. Thank you for your interest in directing at the Pearl Theater. We look forward to reviewing your application. PTG is currently seeking directors for our season. Directors should submit Director Applications by JANUARY 31, The initial interview process will be completed by the end of February; you will be contacted if you have been selected for an in-person interview. We retain all submissions, and may also contact you for subsequent seasons if not selected for the current season. Please include a SASE if you would like your scripts returned. Unfortunately, we cannot produce unpublished plays at this time. However, you may submit such plays for consideration of a staged reading. We encourage a complete proposal including copies of the script, an artistic statement, estimated budget figures, and names of members of the artistic team and technical staff you propose to work with on this project. However, the final show budget will be determined by PTG and we reserve the right of final approval regarding the production team.
