2 INTRODUCTION NOMINATIONS NATIONAL WINNERS GLOBAL COMPETITION GLOBAL WINNERS The Hollywood Film Festival Global Grand Jury Competition It began at the 2018 Berlin and Cannes Film Festivals with the initial engagement of leading film organizations from over 30 Nations as International Partners in co-promoting the next generation of exceptional emerging filmmakers in Hollywood and across the Global Film Industry. On May 16, 2018, during the Unifrance Short Film Awards at Cannes, Unifrance President Serge Toubiana and Hollywood Film Festival Chairman Brad Parks announced those winning French films were also named the inaugural nominees for the Hollywood Silver Screen Prize of France, officially launching the first stage of the 2018 Hollywood Global Grand Jury Competition. Following is a description of each stage in the competition and brief overview of the selection, programing and promotional events that each Nation s nominated artists will receive as participants in the search for the Best Hollywood Film and naming of the Next Great Hollywood Filmmaker.

4 INTRODUCTION NOMINATIONS NATIONAL WINNERS GLOBAL COMPETITION GLOBAL WINNERS Hollywood Silver Screen Prize Nominations June - August In association with each National Film Organization Partner, the Hollywood Film Festival will select 3 Feature Films & 3 Short Films as that Nation s 2018 Hollywood Silver Screen Prize Nominees. Official Hollywood 2018 Launch Events Announcement of Nations Aug 26, 2018 Hollywood Film Festival will introduce it s first round of National Nomination Partners

5 Jury Prize Winning Filmmakers on the Red Carpet during the 2017 Hollywood Honors Ceremony at Paramount Studios.

6 INTRODUCTION NOMINATIONS NATIONAL WINNERS GLOBAL COMPETITION GLOBAL WINNERS HFF National Winners September Hollywood Film Festival will select the Hollywood Silver Screen Prize winning films from each Nation as that Nation s 2018 Best Hollywood Feature Film & Best Hollywood Short Film. Hollywood Silver Screen Prize Nomination Announcements Announcement of National Nominees at Toronto International Film Festival (TIFF) 1st Variety Nomination Announcement #1- September 6, 2018 Variety will publish a Hollywood Film Festival insert in the annual TIFF issue of Variety Magazine which will also be available after as a stand-alone publication at AFM presenting all Nominees, Winners, International Jury Members and Affiliate Partners. 2nd Variety Nomination Announcement #2 - October 3, 2018 All will also simultaneously be featured on the Social Media channels of Variety, IMDB, Cinando, Hollywood Film Festival, as well as on every International Partner s media platforms.

8 INTRODUCTION NOMINATIONS NATIONAL WINNERS GLOBAL COMPETITION GLOBAL WINNERS HFF Global Grand Jury Competition October Hollywood Film Festival will announce the 2018 Hollywood Global Grand Jury Prize Nominees and host those 20 filmmakers (Top 10 Feature & 10 Short Films) from around the world as they present their films to Hollywood as the filmmakers participate in a unique Hollywood Industry promotion and professional development program from Oct 22-28, including access to a host of support and promotional resources during the American Film Market the following week. Global Grand Jury Official Competition Screenings Raleigh Studios Theatre, Hollywood October 22-28, 2018 A Red Carpet Screening event for each film will be hosted at this iconic venue along with Q & A. Hollywood Honors Ceremonies Hollywood October 26, 2018 All Hollywood Silver Screen Prize Winners will also be invited to Take a Bow on the Red Carpet before the onstage recognition of the Hollywood Global Grand Jury Prize Nominees and the announcement and screening of the Best Hollywood Short & Feature Films. The evening will also include a special screening of the winning 2018 Prix Unifrance Short Film.

Winners of the Hollywood Silver Screen Prize from each Nation will be showcased at the Hollywood Film Festival s Hollywood Pavilion during the 72nd Cannes Film Festival in Hollywood Silver Screen Prize Winners from each nation will also be invited to participate in all 2018 Hollywood Jury Class Events and benefit from the full support of the Festival s extensive network of Hollywood Ambassadors and Film Industry Mentors through The Directors of the two Global Grand Jury Prize winning films will further be invited to Cannes then back to Hollywood in 2019 to pitch their next project to a select group of Hollywood Film Executives with flights and accommodations for both trips covered by Hollywood Film Festival. Introduction of the Next Great Hollywood Filmmaker Cannes Film Festival May 2019 After the Honors events in Hollywood, the Directors of the Top 10 Hollywood Feature Films will compete for the title of the Next Great Hollywood Director to be announced at the Opening Reception of the Hollywood Film Festival s Hollywood Pavilion in Cannes.
