THIS FEE IS TO BE COLLECTED ONLY ONCE FOR THE SEASON Entrants (heretofore referred to as act ) must perform only with the persons listed under contestant. No personnel changes or substitutions will be permitted once the competition begins. Once an act withdraws from any level of the competition, he/she/they cannot perform again during that season. If an act fails to show for a performance, they will be immediately removed and disqualified for the remainder of that season. Act must provide all music, recordings...et, al. Bicoastal Media will not provide this. Once registered, act must perform under the acts they registered to perform. No live backup band vocals are allowed. Neither the backup band nor any of its members is permitted to compete in the Competition in which they are the backup band. Each act must perform live, vocally and/or instrumentally. No special lighting, props or special effects may be used. Any act with three or more individuals playing an instrument may not use a backup band or any part of a backup band, or pre-recorded music. The amount of performance time will be determined by Bicoastal Media. All performances must be done in good taste: no music or lyrics that may be considered to be generally offensive may be performed. Age restrictions will be at the discretion of Bicoastal Media. Bicoastal Media, it shareholders, employees, sponsor et al; will not be liable for copyright or proprietary rights infringement(s). Performances will be awarded 0-10 points in each of the following categories: Instrumental ability, Originality Stage presence/ charisma, Talent. In the event of a tie, the first tie-breaker shall be the highest number of points given in the following categories, in order: talent, ability/stage presence, a final tie-breaker shall be by a secret vote of the judges based on overall performance style and impact.

4 The competition will consist of a maximum of 30 acts determined by open auditions. (dates and times to be announced) Acts will have the ability to advance throughout the season to a finale showcase to be held sometime in November (to be determined) Select winners will be awarded prizes. (winner places and prizes to be determined/may and/or will change annually) Soundwaves is a production of Bicoastal Media Coos Bay. No contracts or other compensation are offered or implied. Acts are not employees of Bicoastal Media or are in anyway bound by any employment contract real or perceived.
