3 COMPETITION RULES 1. The Musical Association "Orfeo Stillo", in order to promote the divulgation of musical culture, facilitate the exchange and comparison between young musicians and encourage young people to study music and discover new talents, organizes the XV edition of the INTERNATIONAL COMPETITION FOR YOUNG MUSICIANS "CITTA 'DI PAOLA" - PRIZE "S. FRANCESCO DIf PAOLA " to be held in Paola from 25 May to 1 June The Contest is open to young musicians of both sexes of all ages and nationalities. 3. The auditions will take place in the days mentioned above. We will consider "PREMIO ASSOLUTO" candidates who have achieved a score between 98 and 100, first prizes for candidates who have achieved a score between 95 and 97, second prizes of between 90 and 94, third prizes for between 85 and 89. Below the third prize will not be awarded points but there will be the release of certificates of merit. All money prize will be released at net of withholding taxi. 4. The final concert and the award ceremony of the winners will take place at the end of each day or at the conclusion of the ceremony. In the case of photographic shots, radio, tv, web, recording and record incision of the contest, participants are not entitled to any compensation and with the registration to the competition they give the release note for photographic and video material. 5. All prizes (scholarships, awards and special certificates of merit) must be personally collected under penalty of cancellation of the prize, during the awards ceremony, except the Premio Assoluto that will be awarded on the last day of the competition. 6. The participants present their identity card and a copy of the pieces scheduled for the committee, under penalty of exclusion. You have to present with a free program, according to the time limits laid down by category. You can play with a memory support. 7. You will be able to participate in the competition both as a soloist and as part of an ensemble; in this case the participant have to compile two cards for each request for participation and pay both fees. 8. When possible the participants can enroll at a higher category than their own according to their age but not at a lower one. 9. The Commission will listen to the program presented by the candidates provided they do not exceed the time limits laid down; if the duration of the program exceeds those limits, the Commission reserves the right to discontinue the performance. Competitors are allowed to perform songs of a shorter duration than the maximum time indicated by the evidence of each category. 10. The direction establishes the calendar of the performances that will take place on one of the days provided; there will not be variations in dates and times. 11. The commission, whose appointment is reserved to the Association, is composed by wellknown musicians, professors of the Conservatory, music critics, composers, agents, record companies. The decisions and judgments of the commission are final and unappealable. 12. The Artistic Director reserves the right not to activate any category that does not reach a minimum number of participants, in which case the fee will be refunded. 13. The Commission can decide to divide into equal parts a prize in the event that considers two or more candidates of equal merit. Also, the same commission can decide to not assign any prizes. All prizes will be paid by bank transfer or allowance. 14. To the director of each orchestra and choir will be delivered a personal certificate in addition to the orchestra's one. For chamber ensembles will be released individual certificates up to quintets. At the same time, on request will be issued additional certificates for chamber ensembles composed by over five members. In this case is necessary to deposit an additional contribution of 3 each if received personally, or 5 each in case of shipping. The participant has to communicate and deposit early. 15. The lack of participation in the competition will not provide for any right of reimbursement. 16. The direction does not take any responsibility for damages caused to property or people during the course of works. 17. Participation to competition implies the unconditional acceptance of these rules without reservation.

Besides being one of the most important railway centers of the Tyrrhenian coast, it hosts the most important religious complex of interest of the entire region: the Sanctuary of San Francesco di Paola.
