22 New Elementary and Secondary Education Act/ Every Student Succeeds Act December 10, 2015, the US Congress authorized a new version of the Elementary and Secondary Education Act. The new version, entitled Every Student Succeeds Act (ESSA) replaced No Child Left Behind as the main federal education law at the start of the school year. (52) WELL-ROUNDED EDUCATION.
