2 2018 TALENT QUEST APPLICATION FORM Wednesday 28 th March 2018 Gladstone Marina, Bryan Jordan Drive, Gladstone, Queensland Tel The Harbour Festival Talent Quest offers Gladstone residents the chance to showcase their talents live on the Marina Main Stage, as well as be in the running to win some great cash prizes in 2018 we ve merged the Junior and Senior categories and will be offering the biggest pool of prize money ever to the winners! Conditions of Entry 1. All entrants MUST attend rehearsal with all instruments, leads, amplifiers, backing music, props, etc 2. Entrants will be required to rehearse both their performance song and their winners encore song 3. We require all backing music to be ed or dropped in to our office prior to rehearsals 4. Please keep a backup copy of your music with you at both rehearsals and on performance night 5. Backing music should be a computer audio file in MP3 or WMA format, as all music is played back from a computer. When supplying your audio file to our office, please ensure you identify your act name in your and name the audio file appropriately, including which track is your performance song and your winners encore song 6. Please ensure the quality of the audio file is at least 192k/bits per second 7. If you are singing to the backing music, for the quality of your performance, we strongly recommend you obtain a proper backing track with no lead vocals on it. You can purchase karaoke MP3 files for most popular tracks online; it is well worth using a karaoke track instead of a normal track with vocals, as the judges are looking to hear your performance, not the vocals on the recording! 2 of Gladstone Harbour Festival Talent Quest Application Form

3 Important Dates and Times The deadline for entries is Monday 19 th March 2018 at 4pm or until the Talent Quest is full. Entrants will only be accepted once completed form and payment are received by Gladstone Festivals and Events Talent Quest rehearsals will be held on Monday 26 th March at the Marina Main Stage in the following time blocks: ENTRANTS AGED 17 AND UNDER - 4pm ENTRANTS AGED 18 AND OVER 5:30pm All acts are limited to no more than 5 minutes duration The Talent Quest will commence at 7:15pm sharp on Wednesday 28 th March 2018 The Talent Quest will be performed in two rounds, the schedule of acts will be available at the Marina Main Stage from 6pm on Wednesday 28 th March ALL entrants must report to the Stage Manager at the Marina Main Stage no later than 6:30pm on Wednesday 28 th March Limit of 12 acts overall The judge s decision is final and no correspondence will be entered into Heaps of prize money up for grabs! 1 st Prize - $700 2 nd Prize - $500 3 rd Prize - $300 Overall Audience Appeal - $250 Encouragement Award - $200 Please note: there are no Junior and Senior categories in All contestants in the Talent Quest, regardless of age or type of act will compete for the 1 st, 2nd, 3 rd, Overall 3 of Gladstone Harbour Festival Talent Quest Application Form
