Westmont College June 22nd - July 6th 2014 Dear Applicant, Thank you for your application for thethe Summer Vocal Institute in beautful Santa Barbara California, where students have the unique opportunity to work with expirienced performing artists and professors of vocal and choral music at Westmont College This well rounded musical expirience gives the young performer a chance to explore and deveop their vocal and overall musical skills. Classes range from choral classes and performances to vocal deveopment and Musical Theater scene preparation. The Summer Institute also prepares singers for Auditions, Scholarships, Competitions and Concerts. Tuition for the two week program is $ which includes room and board. Discounts are givien to families of two or more children and scholorships are available by auditiont. Registration date Friday, May 14, 2014 (applications received after this date will be conditional to space availability) $50 Application fee is non-refundable once your application has been submitted. Please contact Celeste Tavera at ctavera@westmont.edu or with any questions regarding this application You will receive an confirmation once your application has been processed by the program director. Once accepted you will be required to pay $200 non-refundable deposit for the camp to hold your place in the program. This deposit is applied toward tuition and must be paid within 15 days of being accepted. Applications can be found on the Westmont website. Audition Requirements - Please select two contrasting pieces from the Musical Theater, Art Song, or Sacred Music Repertories. Participants can include an MP3 file with your initial application, although this is not compulsory: Recordings should be no longer than 3 to 5 minute in length, They could be accompanied by piano or unaccompanied. The file size should be no greater than 8MB.
