2 WELCOME From the bottom of my heart I d like to welcome you to the Evangel Church Creative Arts Department! We re so thrilled to have you become a part of our family and look forward to sharing good times and walking alongside you in the tough times. In the Evangel Church Creative Arts Department our mission is to help usher in the church body into the throne room of God. In order to do this we must bring creativity, authenticity, relevance and excellence into everything that we do. I m sure you re wondering, am I really signing a contract for a church?. The reason for a document such as this is to agree on a set of guidelines so that everyone is aware of the expectations for them. In turn, it s my goal to also make you aware of what you can expect from myself and the creative arts department. Together we can help usher in a new era of creative arts ministry at Thank you for your willingness to serve! God Bless! Sincerely, Patrick Smith Music Director Evangel Church Sunday Audio/Visual Team Audio/Visual Director Worship Team Leader Audio Engineer Video Switcher Graphic Presenter Audio/Visual Assistant Worship Team Streaming Camera Person Camera Person Camera Person 1
3 GENERAL Conduct!!! There are two things that you need to be conscious at all times whether you are inside the walls of Evangel Church, in your workplace or at home: You represent Jesus Christ. You represent the Creative Arts Department at Evangel Church. Both of these things come with responsibility to the way we act and speak. Please do your absolute best to reflect Christ in all ways. Dress Code Both men and women should dress their very best. Jeans or jean skirts are not appropriate for Sunday Morning Services. Men: Dress shirt, dress pants and dress shoes. Women: Dress or blouse with nice slacks or a skirt (skirts must be to the knees or longer). Dress shoes. No flip-flops or tennis shoes Planning Center Planning Center is the lifeblood of the Creative Arts ministry. Things expected from you: Valid address- 90% of our communication is done through Rapid response- in order for me to get a leg up on scheduling, I need to get a confirm or a decline planning center response right away. Updates, cancellations and additions all get pushed through planning center. Checking your every 2 days or less is recommended in order to be up to date and prepared for the coming rehearsals/services. Weekly Devotional Every Wednesday from 7:00-7:45pm we have a devotional that is geared towards the creative arts. It is strongly encouraged to attend these devotionals. This is a time set aside every week to come together as a department, read the word together, pray for each other and grow individually in our walk with Christ. 2
4 Cancellation Policy If a situation arises that prevents you from fulfilling your scheduled responsibility, please notify myself as soon as possible! If the change is being made within 7 days of the scheduled date, I ask that you do your best to help me find a replacement. I,, have read the above items and will uphold these standards to the best of my ability, relying on the strength of the Lord to help me.
