Ewan McLennan Sat evening Folk singer, guitarist and songwriter Ewan McLennan has, in a short space of time, come to be known as a guitarist at the forefront of his generation; a troubadour, balladeer and storyteller cut in the old style; a singer that can move audiences with his passion and pathos; and a songwriter for whom social justice is still a burning issue. Late Night Sing Granny's Attic Fri evening & Sat Granny s Attic are Cohen Braithwaite-Kilcoyne (Melodeon, Concertina, Vocals), George Sansome (Guitar, Vocals) and Lewis Wood (Fiddle, Vocals). A folk trio who play the tradition with verve, energy and their own inimitable style. These three young men are all exceptional musicians, fine singers and play traditional songs and tunes from the British Isles alongside selfpenned material. Late Night Tunes Marilla Homes Sat afternoon Finding Your Voice - in this workshop, Marilla will draw on her training as a singer and as a Feldenkrais Practitioner, and share tips and tricks for keeping your voice healthy and strong. There will be techniques for warming up the voice, breath, and body. There will be ideas to use to recover from laryngitis, both infections and overuse - so all who sang too much on the Friday night, this will be for you! :) Paul Sartin Sunday morning Oboist, singer, traditional violinist, competent pianist and swanee whistle virtuoso, Paul is a prolific and highly-regarded performer, composer, arranger and teacher. He is a founding member of the award winning ensembles Belshazzar s Feast, Faustus and Bellowhead. He appears in, as well as directed the music for 2017's version of Peter Bellamy s ballad opera The Transports. Breakfast

2 Rapsquillion Fri night & Sun Since 1999, Rapsquillion, the award-winning but grizzled veteran of the Shropshire and mid-wales folk music scene, has been producing its own brand of close harmony music, mostly a capella.. The eclectic mix of our music travels from 15th Century frottola to 21st Century protest and on the way calls in on parody, traditional music from around the world, 1940 s jazz and the chapel hymn book. Richard & Jess Arrowsmith Sat & Sun Rich & Jess are traditional musicians and singers who specialise in English music and song. They perform as a duo using voices, melodeon and fiddle, and also play with ceilidh band Hekety and Melrose Quartet (with James Fagan and Nancy Kerr). Albums include Customs & Exercise, songs and tunes (for grown ups!) as well as popular nursery rhyme & lullaby CD's Off We Go! and Off We Go Again! Rowan Godel Fri UK Songwriting Contest 2017 Finalist singer and song writer Rowan Godel has been described as an underground folk superstar and is one of British folk musics best kept secrets and has worked extensively with some of the biggest names in folk today - Oysterband, Levellers, John Jones and Ray Cooper. Rowan specialises in vocal harmony arrangements and brings us a Fri afternoon harmony singing workshop on the theme of "The Birds And The Bees" Steel Songbirds Sat & Sun Steel Songbirds were dug from the soil of Australia and England, forged in Sheffield UK, tempered in the swimming pool of life and sharpened on the wit of singledom in the folk/pub/archeology worlds. Comic and poignant, voices blending and mixing with fiddle and bouzouki, these girls know how to laugh! Their first co-written song T'Internet Dates is what brought the duo together in 2017, and hilarity has ensued. Thrup'nny Bits Sunday A three voice unaccompanied harmony group singing traditional and contemporary folk songs, some music hall material, with some Early Music and humorous songs. Many of our songs encourage audience participation and we hope they get as much enjoyment out of it as we do. Barbara and Gareth Wyatt, and Des Patalong come from Warwickshire and Coventry and are well known on the local folk scene. Vocal High Sat afternoon Vocal High is 2 local vocal ensembles, led by singer and vocal coach Paula Evans, and pianist-composer Chris Long. There is a focus on tone production, blend, groupwork, learning to read and the development of technique: and fun! All events subject to change - we'll let you know if there are any amends.
