3 ABOUT MSSO Music can change the world because it can change people. Bono The Montreal Suzuki String Orchestra (MSSO) has served the Montréal community since It is part of the violin school Institut Suzuki (Montréal) and member of the international Suzuki Associations of the Americas. For nearly 30 years, the MSSO has been an uniquely non-audition-based youth orchestra. Founder and conductor Dragan Djerkic believes that every child's potential is unlimited. Students range years of age and come from throughout Montréal's French and English, private and public school systems. MSSO is rooted in the tradition of the respected Japanese violinist, educator and humanitarian Dr.Shinichi Suzuki. By nurturing a love of beautiful music, Dragan focuses on developing youth of good character. And perhaps, some will become professional musicians. With a demanding rehearsal schedule and rich repertoire, the orchestra offers a foundation for musical achievement and lifelong friendships. Following its successful 2016 Tour of China, the MSSO now also offers global adventure!

4 ABOUT SCL 2018 The Summa Cum Laude Festival (SCL) in Vienna is one of Austria s premier global youth music festival. It is one of the few festivals designed to host choirs, bands and orchestras simultaneously. It includes an international competition, as well as custom workshops within the SCL Academy at the Vienna University of Music. Since 2006, more than 12,000 youth have travelled from all over the world to experience the historic venues, high performances standards and rich educational program.
