9 Shady Grove (Key of A minor) Traditional Verse-Chorus Like many traditional songs, you ll find versions of this one with some slightly different chords, but this three-chord version is fairly common. 10 Clinch Mountain Backstep (Key of A) Ralph Stanley AABB The unusual thing about this great banjo instrumental is the backstep in the B part: an extra half-measure (one extra Boom-chick ) played each time through the B part. Once you become familiar with this tune, it s easier to hear/feel that extra beat than it is to count it out! A part: A E E A B part: A E E A
