It will introduce the student to some of the basic fundamental of music and focus on classical music forms of instrumental and vocal music. The course will also share information about great composers and performers from the 15th century through today. MGH1-5: The student will examine music from a a variety of stylistic and historical periods and cultures.
4 MGH1-6: The student will make connections between music and other arts disciplines, other content areas, and the world. Grading Policy A (93-100%) B (85-92%) C (77-84%) D (70-76%) F (69 and below) Communication/Participation Requirements Participation and communication in an online class is critical to successful completion. Although students can access at a time that is convenient for them, they are expected to login regularly to the VirtualSC Dasboard and the course room regularly. Students should meet all deadlines per the pacing guide and notify the instructor in advance if extenuating circumstances arise that prohibit the student from participating in the class as expected. Due dates for the assignments are clearly posted. Students can communicate with their instructor through various methods as posted in the course. Intellectual Honesty and Plagiarism Students are expected to do their own work at all times. Any acts of intellectual/academic dishonesty will not be tolerated. If a student violates code, the student will receive a zero for the assignment; the student will not be able to make up assignment; guardians and school will be notified. This policy is not negotiable. Schools may enforce additional consequences as specified in the school handbook policy.
