The Wyre Forest Symphony Orchestra was formed over 40 years ago and is made up of local non-professional but highly talented musicians. Led by Mrs Jennifer Smith they have been exciting audiences with three full concerts a year along side a variety of smaller engagements and are delighted to be welcoming their new conductor Margarita. Ms. Mikhailove started her career at the prestigious St. Petersbury State academy of Art and Music. Her principal instrument there was piano and she graduated from St Petersburg with a Bachelor of Music Degree in piano solo performance and choral conducting. Margarita currently teaches at the prestigious Birmingham Conservatoire as assistant conductor in the Junior Department. She has conducted major professional orchestras including BBC Concert Orchestra, Birmingham Conservatoire Symphony Orchestra, London Mozart Players, St Petersburg Chamber Philharmonic, and the Oslo Symphony Orchestra. Concert Manager Christopher Page, Margarita is an amazing coup for our orchestra.
