39 Modulaton level and speed can also be confgured to your lkes and needs. An addtonal feature can be enabled by your hearng care professonal that allows you to select predefned sounds that smulate sounds from nature, such as breakng waves or runnng water. If you have two wreless hearng ads that support ear-to-ear synchronzaton, ths functonalty can be enabled by your hearng care professonal. Ths wll cause the Tnntus Sound Generator to synchronze the sound n both hearng ads. If your tnntus troubles you only n quet envronments, your doctor, audologst or hearng care professonal can set the TSG Module so that t becomes audble exclusvely n such surroundngs. The overall sound level can be adjusted va a volume control. Your doctor, audologst or hearng care professonal wll revew wth you the need for havng such a control. For hearng ads where ear-to-ear synchronzaton s enabled your hearng care professonal can also enable envronmental montorng synchronzaton so that the TSG nose level s automatcally adjusted smultaneously n both hearng ads dependent on the background sound level. Addtonally snce the hearng ad has a volume control then the background nose level montored by the hearng ad and the volume control can be used smultaneously to adjust the generated nose level n both hearng ads US Rev.A.ndd :18:34

40 The scentfc concepts that form the bass for the devce The TSG module provdes sound enrchment wth the am of surroundng the tnntus sound wth a neutral sound, whch s easly gnored. Sound enrchment s an mportant component of most approaches to tnntus management, such as Tnntus Retranng Therapy (TRT). To assst habtuaton to tnntus, ths needs to be audble. The deal level of the TSG module, therefore, should be set so that t starts to blend wth the tnntus, and so that you can hear both your tnntus as well as the sound used. In a majorty of nstances, the TSG module can also be set to mask the tnntus sound, so to provde temporary relef by ntroducng a more pleasant and controllable sound source TSG volume control The sound generator s set to a specfc loudness level by the hearng care professonal. When swtchng the sound generator on, the volume wll have ths optmal settng. Therefore, t mght not be necessary to control the volume (loudness) manually. However, the volume control provdes the ablty to adjust the volume, or amount of stmulus, to the lkng of the user. The volume control s an optonal feature n the TSG module used for adjustng the sound generator output level US Rev.A.ndd :18:34
