3 JVTEC s cable system For the successful and optimal development of JVTEC s cable systems, a proper analysis of all the aspects related to the implementation of this new technology is mandatory.

5 Optical fiber Optical fiber TFO manufactures all of its single mode fibers using the VAD process (vapour-phase axial deposition) resulting in the highest quality glass with excellent geometry and high strength characteristics. TFO s fibers (Zero Water Peak) can be used in all wavelengths because the OH ion is perfectly eliminated during the VAD process. This fiber has long term attenuation reliability. Applications/Uses: a. Data communication cable, FTTH network cable. b. Long haul communication and CATV cable. Types of fiber: - G.652.B (regular fiber). - G.652.D (zero water peak). - G.657.A&B (bending loss insensitive). - G.655,G.656 (Non Zero Dispersion Shifted Fiber). - Ribbon.
6 Optical Distribution Frame (ODF) - In charge of centralizing, distributing and connecting the fiber optic cables or splice connections. - High resistant and secure compact design that protects its optical components. Capacity for: - 12C - 24C - 48C - 72C - 144C. ODF 144C Can connect network equipments for: - LAN. - FTTH. - CATV.
7 Cables for the last mile Tipos: 1. Pitgail: singlemode and multimode fiber optic cables for indoors. They come with differen types of connectors (some of them made from quartz crystals) on one end, and the other end free for junction of fiber optics. 2. Patch cord: using singlemode or multimode fiber optic cables with the greatest variety of connectors SC, LC, FC, ST, MU in its ends. Pigtail International standards such as Telecordia, GR-326-Core, TIA/EIA and IEC.
8 Junction box We offer from metallic or aluminum junction boxes to dielectric junction boxes for transmission lines and optical networks. Junction box Advantages: - Easy to handle. - Suitable for universal application. - Of simple re-access. - May be used anywhere a junction box is required. - Provided with all the accessories needed for proper installation.
9 Downlead clamp Downlead clamp This clamp is manufactured with hot-dipped galvanized forged steel or aluminum alloy and is intended for the securing and managing of fiber optic cables within the structure, avoiding stress concentrations in the cable. The clamp is manufactured with an aluminum alloy and its bolts and nuts are made from stainless steel and galvanized steel. Types: - SFO-CD-3. - SFO-CS-3/ SFO-CS-3/ SFO-CS-3/ SFO-CSD-3/ SFO-CSD-3/ SFO-CSD-3/ Depending on the kind of clamp they can accommodate one or more cables.
10 OPGW Cable rack OPGW cable rack Is a four support cable rack made from galvanized and stainless steel. Its function is to house the exceeding cable left intentionally for future replacements. Each support includes: - 3 M-16 galvanized steel nuts. - 1 galvanized steel accumulator shell. - 2 galvanized steel M-16 washers. - 1 galvanized steel M-16 x 130 threaded rod. - 2 stainless steel M-8 nuts. - 2 stainless steel M-8 x 45 screws. - 1 CSFO-AL Al-Alloy support body.
11 Damper Different dampers The Stockbridge damper is a device formed by a suspension cable with a weight on each side and a bolted clamp that can be fixed to a conductor or a ground wire. Advantages: -Damps the wind vibrations. - They are asymmetric dampers with four resonances. - Designed and developed by the same company. - Designed to be used on self supported fiber optic cables. - Improved performance in relation with traditional stockbridge dampers. - Has 8 resonance frequencies. - Lighter than traditional dampers. - Has a cable fixating system that lowers the concentration of stress. - Can be used with OPGW cable with diameters from 8mm to 14mm.
12 C-Block This device is used exclusively to secure OPGW cables when it is difficult for the tower to do so. This accessory is provided for suspension sets as well as tension sets. C-Block
13 Suspension set The suspension set has a damping effect that improves the behavior of the cable when affected by wind vibration. Suspension set Components: -Shackle. - Twisted chain link. - Eye chain link. - Armour grip suspension clamp with neoprene interior. - Parallel groove clamp. - Earth connector. The suspension clamp has been designed to provide additional protection to the conductor (OPGW) and lower the stress in the interlock point.
14 Tension sets Preformed type tension sets specially designed for OPGW have grounding clamps to connect to the tower. When the distance between two anchor towers is grater than the maximum reliable distance of the system special tension sets for installation in suspension towers can be used. Tension set/ Retention set Configurations: To be installed in anchor towers - Suspension set: for intermediate towers. - Retention set: for towers with junction boxes. - Dead end set: For final towers. To Be installed in suspension towers: - Suspension set: for intermediate towers. - Retention set: for towers with junction boxes.
15 Optical Ground Wire (OPGW) These cables for transmission lines up to 800kV may be provided with: 1. Central plastic loose tube (LT) 2. Stainless steel central core covered by an aluminum tube (SS+AL) 3. Cables with a stainless steel loose tube (SSLT) Cable count from 2 to 144 fibers, including single mode fiber (SMF) and Non Zero Dispersion Shifted Fiber (NZDF), among others. SS loose tube covered with alumunum The cables are manufactured by TFO Taihan Fiberoptics in the Ansan plant from south Korea.
16 Approach cable We have a wide variety of fiber optic cables for every environment and application. Our cables produced by our commercial partner, the manufacturer Taihan Fiberoptics from South Korea, are available in different ranges of fiber count, types, configuration mechanical construction; depending on its final application. 17 Protection rods (for fiber optic cables) Normally installed in suspension points. Its main function is to avoid static and dynamic damages produced by bending, compression, abrasion and arc over to the cable in which they are installed. Protection Rods SAPREM s denomination for its armor rods is the following: VP (Spanish for Armor Rods), followed by two letters meaning the raw material which they are made from. AL (Aluminum Alloy), AC (galvanized steel), AW (Aluminum Clad Steel-ACS), CW (Copper Clad Steel-CCS), AA (Aluminized steel), and with two series of three numbers that show the diameter range of the specified conductor. Example: VPAL is an aluminum alloy armor rod for a cable with a diameter range from 9,31 to 9,90 mm.
