1 Turning 24 project to 29.97? Posted by Danielo Oct :51 I have a video of fps, but being a beginner I started editing it in a project that I opened of 24 fps. Now after tedious editing I see that it comes out slightly granulated (when figures are moving). Any ideas how to solve it? Thanx! Posted by briandrys - 13 Oct :12 Welcome to the forum Are the rest of the videos in this project fps? 24fps was used in earlier version of Lightworks for mixed frame rate projects, but at some point frames will need to be dropped in order to fit into a 24 fps timeline. As a test, try exporting the 24 fps project at fps with the fps video to see how it looks. However, it's best to set up the project at the native frame rate of your media. Posted by Danielo Oct :19 Thanks Brian! All the original videos I used in the edit are fps, but I created the project as 24 fps. I tried exporting it to but the result is pixelated in movements. Posted by briandrys - 13 Oct :35 1 / 8
2 Try copying your 24 fps project's sequence into a test fps project. I don't know it will accept it. but since the source media is fps it may be worth a shot. Posted by Danielo Oct :48 Can you give me some more detailed instructions? I am really new to the program... Posted by briandrys - 13 Oct :12 Open the menu in the sequence filter > bin commands > copy to > select name of your new fps project. I assume you've only got one sequence. Keep the old project for the moment. Even better use the everything filer, then use copy to If the project name doesn't come up in the list, it's not going to work. Posted by Danielo Oct :42 I get this error. Any ideas what to do? Posted by briandrys - 13 Oct :00 It doesn't give the cause of the problem, but I suspect the frame rates aren't compatible going in that direction (24 to fps). I would make a note on paper of your edits and begin again as a fps project 2 / 8
3 Posted by Danielo Oct :05 OMG! This will still be a very, very long process. Is there any faster option? Posted by schrauber - 13 Oct :07 Danielo123 wrote: I have a video of fps, Is this the real constant Framerate (each frame really recorded individually by the camera)? Or was your material for broadcasting from a 24 fps movie to fps. (partly identical frames)? Or was it recorded with a slow camera, which stores identical frames during movements to reduce the data rate? Or is it a flexiebler framerate? Posted by hugly - 13 Oct :34 Danielo123 wrote: All the original videos I used in the edit are fps, but I created the project as 24 fps. A mediainfo report of the affected video would help to understand 3 / 8

That's the question fps footage in 24fps projects exported to fps shoudn't create dropped frames. Posted by Danielo Oct :13 Hi all, Thanks for your helpful questions.
