2 2 Content Minimize your risks know your responsibilities Tripping accidents caused by cables lying loosely on the floor are an everyday occurrence. They may lead to personal injuries, such as fracture of limbs and scull and internal injuries. Some tripping accidents may even lead to death. In addition to personal injuries, tripping accidents may have additional consequences. If somebody trips over cables lying loosely on the ground, he or she may destroy expensive pieces of equipment. 3 4 5 Serpa : Protection against hazards of tripping Serpa are characterized by an intelligent combination of materials in a 3-layer design. The heavy middle layer ensures the bridge will lay seamlessly on the surface below. The bottom layer prevents the cable bridge from skidding. The upper surface is makes it wear resistant. It is also equipped with glow in the dark warning stripes. Therefore the cable bridges are suitable for using during the day as well as in the night. The cable bridge may be removed and reinstalled again and again, without losing their elasticity. All cable bridges from Serpa bear the Serpa!Signal label. They are equipped with glow-in-the-dark warning strips. Serpa!Signal glows in the dark. A heavy weight makes things easier: Serpa lie on the floor without the need to be fixed with screws or glue. This way the cable bridges can be removed easily without leaving drill holes or traces of glue on the floor. They are easy to install: Just roll out the cable bridge, fill in the cables and you re done. They can be rolled up easily and stored or transported in a small case. The cable bridge may be cut to length individually just by use a carpet knife. They may be extended as well, by using coupling devices. Serpa cable bridges are electrically insulating.
