(6200 Series) Removal Easy to use Lockig Ejector System The 8825E Series Lockig Ejector System is a reversal of the MIL-STD desig (KEL 6200 Series), the lockig ejectors are itegral to the cable coector. The ejectors are automatically locked by isertio ito Plug coector like the MIL-STD desig. The latches remai withi the coector outlie to reduce the requiremets for board space, are ulocked by applyig iward pressure ad ca be operated with oly oe had ulike the older desig. lso, the 8830E Series ca be used with the 8800 Series for board-to-board itercoects because it does ot have latches to iterfere with matig. This desig offers advatages for uses i today s high desity electroic equipmet. Daisy Chai ssemblies The 8825E Series termiates to a sigle 0.635mm (25mil) pitch flat ribbo cable. The cotacts are held i positio by the isulator body. The tips of the cotact forks with guide taper ad latch are sharp ad break through the cable sheath to provide a gas tight termiatio. The cotact rib which is purposely rouded creates high pressure to isure a reliable termiatio without damage durig the termiatio process. Cover #1 ad #2 hold the cable ad stabilize the cotact/coductor iterface. The cotact slides through Cover #1 which supports ad aligs the cable through out the termiatio process. The cotacts termiate the coductor ad slide ito Cover #2. The cotact forks are compressed by Cover #2 ad form a gas tight termiatio. The reliability of the termiatio process depeds o maitaiig proper aligmet of the cable to the coector, the cotact to the coductor, ad the stability of cotact i the coector. The desig of the 8825E satisfies the requiremets as explaied above. C-57
