12 Very Extensive Receiver Characterization Sample size: 3 x 30 devices (from 3 different lots) Conditions 3 temperatures 3 supply voltages 10 optical input powers Each Rx was measured at 90 different conditions Data Rate MBd Measuerements with MOST Stress Pattern Additional w.c. jitter measurements with FOT specific w.c. jittering MOST Stress Pattern Parameters: Rise and fall time, Differential output voltage, Jitter values (Total Jitter, Transferred Jitter), Current consumption FPM and LPM, Status VOH and VOL => resulted in measurement values for the Rx only (without w.c. jitter measurements and power on/off ) Page 12

The eyemask is even met at -25dBm!

15 Worst Case Performance Testing All tests regarding signal integrity were performed using the MOST150 stress pattern The pattern is about 32kbits long and reflects a worst case scenario regarding the data sequence. SP2 (optical) clean SP4 (electrical) This pattern does not yet reflect the actual worst case input signal. This can only be achieved by applying worst case signals to SP1 or SP3 Since no particular eye mask is specified for SP3, a worst case SP2 signal has to be generated and in addition, a worst case optical fiber transmission has to be regarded. Release date of MOST25 was 2010 Pin in paste technology Reflow soldering is in accordance with JEDEC standard J-STD-020D Reflow devices are more robust because of: - Special mold compound - Optimized leadframe geometry - Improved manufacturing processes Also MOST150 was now improved and qualified. All qualification tests have been passed. Page 19
