1 BRAVIA LCD TV - MFM-HT205 MFM-HT205 Hong Kong, January 18, 2006 Sony Corporation of Hong Kong Limited today announced the launch of the new 20-inch BRAVIA LCD TV the MFM-HT205. The HD-ready model boasts the highest resolution, the highest contrast ratio and the quickest response time among Sony s LCD TV series in Hong Kong in addition to multimedia entertainment capabilities in extraordinary picture quality. Featuring the unique Rising Design, the ultra slim multifunction TV allows users to watch TV while browsing the Internet or checking at the same time. Unrivalled Picture Quality The new HT model offers a WSXGA resolution of 1680 x 1050 pixels that is the highest among the BRAVIA LCD TV series. With the compatibility with HD signals, it is capable of delivering extremely high picture quality and the finest image reproduction of HD broadcasts. Equipped with the Clear Bright Technology, the MFM-HT205 provides rich colour reproduction and high contrast for sharp and vivid pictures. It offers an exceptionally high contrast ratio of 1600:1 and higher brightness (470cd/m²) for outstanding picture quality. The fast response time of 6milliseconds ensures a smooth, vivid viewing of fast moving images in videos or gaming. The 3D Digital Comb Filter is included to reduce the noise and instability of broadcast or video sources for superior picture quality. The 15:9 wide screen enables users to enjoy a home theatre experience in the bedroom or living room.

2 Multiple Functions for Entertainment and PC Applications Simultaneously The MFM-HT205 can double as a monitor for any PC applications simply with a change of the input mode; users can work on their PC applications and enjoy a TV programme simultaneously with the new Picture-and-Picture or Picture-in-Picture functionality 1. The LCD TV has an array of inputs for multimedia entertainment and PC applications, including component input, S-Video and composite inputs as well as PC Inputs (digital DVI-D and analogue HD15). On top of its striking picture quality, the MFM-HT205 brings a powerful SRS WOW sound effect with 2 x 3W speakers and a 5W subwoofer. The MFM-HT205 is sold at a suggested retail price of HK$8,980.
