3 1.1. INTRODUCTION The Qatar-based SAK Trading & Contracting (one of the subsidiaries of SAK Holding) is mainly into Contracting Business. In complaining with the latest MOI regulation; SAK in planning to implement an IP-CCTV system in one of its Project Named Al-Shamal Compound Located at Gharafa Area In front of the LULU Mall BRIEF ABOUT THE DESIGN We have Divided the compound into 4 Zones based on the cameras locations: Zone 1: In this Zone, we have designed 2 nos of IDF rooms in two buildings where the cameras of all 6 buildings will be connected (1 IDF for the cameras of 3 buildings). These buildings will be connected to the respective IDF through CAT6 cable. These IDF rooms shall be connected to the main IT room through the dual run of Multimode fiber cable, as we have considered the link redundancy from IDF rooms to Main IT Room. Zone 2: In this Zone, we have designed 4 nos of IDF rooms in 4 different buildings where the cameras of all 8 buildings will be connected (1 IDF for the cameras of 2 buildings each). The cameras of first building shall be connected to the IDF room in the nearby building through CAT6 cable. Similar like Zone-1. These IDF rooms shall be connected to the main IT room through the dual run of Single mode Fiber cable, as we have considered the link redundancy from IDFs to Main IT Room. Zone 3: IDF for the cameras nearby the clubhouse. Zone 4: The outdoor cameras into the vicinity of the entire compound shall be connected through a fiber ring of Single Mode fiber and the rings will be terminated inside the Main IT Room. Because of this Ring Topology, we get link redundancy in case of one connectivity link is down. However, the other fiber link at camera side will be in active and it can be patched to the camera instantly if primary link is down. The respective outdoor cameras will be connected to the IDF rack inside the MDF room while the cameras will be connected through the 2 cores while another 2 Cores will be remained ideal at the same camera. Once the primary 2 cores are malfunctioned on that camera, the ideal cores can be patched on that camera simply and connected to the switch immediately. Redundancy for these outdoors cameras are being managed through this arrangement. In Brief: Zone 1 - IDF 1 and 2: 2 IDFs among the set of 6 Town Houses (B+G+2). Zone 2 - IDF 3 to 6: 4 IDFs among theset of 8 Town Houses (G+2). Zone 3 - IDF - 7: For Club House. Zone 4 - IDF - 8: Inside the MDF room for Outdoor cameras. As far as the concern of the power supplies to the outdoor cameras, the entire compound has been divided into some regions based upon the availability of the nearest electrical rooms. Each region is having some ~3~

4 outdoor cameras connected to the nearest electrical room for power supplies. The same electrical room should be having UPS for redundant power source to the respective cameras of the region in case of the failure of the primary power source. For more information please check the cameras power station sheet attached MDF Room: The MDF room is nearby the Clubhouse where all 8 IDFs will be connected to the Dual Core switches. In the same room, there would be IDF rack for outdoor cameras, which shall be connected over fiber ring. Control room: The Control room for the IPCCTV network is at the other side of the clubhouse building. The entire monitoring and storage system for the IPCCTV network will be in this room. This room will be connected to the Core switches inside MDF room. Based upon the concept of this design, we have prepared Cameras, Active, and passive BOQs for complementing the IP-CCTV Network. In order to ease communication, requests and questions should mention document name, page number / sheet name, item / paragraph number and text of passage being questioned. All clarifications should be submitted before 26 Oct.2013 SAK will respond to all clarifications at most by 29.Oct RFP SCHEDULE The following schedule outlines the approximate timeframe of the activities that will be followed to assist in selecting the best-fit implementation vendor. The schedule, except for the deadline for receiving proposals, is subject to change. SAK may also deem some of the activities to be unnecessary and may choose not to conduct some or all of the activities listed below: ~4~

Proposals will be divided into two volumes: Volume 1: Technical Proposal Volume 2: Commercial Proposal Both the above-mentioned proposals will be enclosed in separate envelopes and submitted together on or before the due date. Deviation from these requirements may disqualify a vendor from the competition AWARD NOTIFICATION SAK will evaluate the vendors proposals and will select the best fit accordingly. After the final selection is made and approved by the top management, the winning vendor will be invited to negotiate a contract with SAK; remaining vendors will be notified in writing of their selection status OWNERSHIP OF MATERIALS All materials submitted in response to this RFP become the property of SAK. Proposals and supporting materials will not be returned to vendors REJECTION OF PROPOSALS SAK reserves the right to reject any or all proposals. SAK will not give any explanation for the rejection of a proposal SUBMISSION OF PROPOSALS Proposals shall be submitted in both printed and electronic formats (MS Word, Excel and PowerPoint formats). ~5~

6 1.11. RFP AMENDMENTS SAK reserves the right to amend this RFP at any time prior to the closing date. Amendments will be issued only to vendors who are going to bid and complete a proposal. Vendors must sign and return an amendment acknowledgement form. No other amendments, verbal or otherwise, will be acknowledged by SAK RFP CANCELLATION SAK reserves the right to cancel this RFP at any time and re-issue the RFP. ~6~
