1 Audio/Visual for Lower Level and Board Room A2.0 Projector: A2.1 Projector must meet or exceed the following specifications: A LCD imaging engine capable of native WXGA (1024x768) resolution. A2.1.2 Must be 3000 ANSI lumens or higher. A2.1.3 Must be capable of 500:1 contrast ratio or higher. A2.1.4 Must have a lamp life of 2000 hours or more. A2.1.5 Must have an audio output that is both stereo and variable (controlled by the projector remote). A2.1.6 A wireless video device must be provided for PC, MAC, and Mobile devices to connect to the projector for sharing. A2.1.7 The wireless video connection will tie into the existing audio system. A2.1.8 Must be capable of switching the audio with the video so that the appropriate audio signal matches the video. A2.1.9 Must have two VGA inputs and one VGA output. A Must have one composite video input. A Must have one HDMI input. A Must have one RS-232 control port. A Must have filters that can be cleaned without taking the projector off the mount. A Must have a lens with at least a 20% zoom ratio. A Speaker must be built into the projector. A Must have a three year warranty or longer, not limited by hours of operation.
2 A3.0 Wall Plate Interface: A3.1 Wall plate interface must meet or exceed the following specifications: A3.1.1 Must be milled from.115 aluminum (plus or minus.015 ) A3.1.2 Must have female VGA 15pin HD input, pass-through type marked Computer. A3.1.3 Must have another female VGA 15pin HD input, pass-through type, marked Document Camera. (OPTIONAL) A3.1.4 Must have one female 3.5mm stereo jack for computer audio, pass-through type. A3.1.5 Must have one female RCA jack for composite video, pass-through type, marked Video A3.1.6 Must have two female RCA jacks for L/R audio, pass-through type, marked L i. Audio R. A3.1.7 Must have one HDMI jack, pass-through type, marked HDMI. A4.0 Network Control Device: A5.0 Control Software: A4.1 Network control device must meet or exceed the following specifications: A4.1.1 Must be a 100Mbs capable device. A4.1.2 Must support the following network protocols: ICMP, IP, TCP, UDP, DHCP, ARP, BOOTP, Telnet, DNS, SNMP, HTTP, SMTP. A4.1.3 Must have internal serial port, LAN port, and power line surge protection. A4.1.4 Must have serial baud rate of 110 bps to 230,400 bps. A4.1.5 Must have a MTBF rate of over 250,000 hrs. A4.1.6 Must operate in temperature environments of 32F to 131F. A4.1.7 Must have a five year warranty. A5.1 Control software must meet or exceed the following specifications: A5.1.1 Must be able to turn the projector on and off. A5.1.2 Must be able to raise and lower volume of projector. A5.1.3 Must be able to switch video sources at projector. A5.1.4 Must provide password protected administration menu for projector and network setup. A5.1.5 Must support RS-232 controllable projectors and LAN projectors of different manufacturers.
3 A6.0 Projector Management Software: A6.1 Centralized Projector Management Software must meet or exceed the following specifications: A6.1.1 Must be able to control one projector, a group of projectors or all projectors over the network. A6.1.2 Must be able to turn projectors on and off. A6.1.3 Must be able to switch projector input sources. A6.1.4 Must be able to automatically shut-down projectors at pre-defined times. A6.1.5 Must allow projector and location regrouping. A6.1.6 Must support RS-232 controllable projectors and LAN projectors of different projector manufacturers. A7.0 Projection Screen A7.1 Install in accordance with manufacturer's instructions. A7.1.1 A7.1.2 A7.1.3 A7.1.4 Install projection screens with screen cases in position and relationship to adjoining construction as indicated, securely anchored to supporting substrate, and in manner that produces a smoothly operating screen with plumb and straight vertical edges and plumb and flat viewing surfaces when screen is lowered. Test manually operated units to verify that screen operating components are in optimum functioning condition The screen will be mounted a minimum of 6 from the wall so that when pulled down fully, it does not interfere any surface. The projector will be mounted in a location so that the projected image fills the screen completely without over shooting the boundaries of the screen. It will also be positioned so that the projector is perpendicular to the surface of the screen. If proper positioning of the projector is difficult due to fluorescent light fixtures, sprinkler heads or HVAC vents, then the SMHA should be notified so that a best-fit solution can be agreed upon. Although there may be some exceptions, the projector should be located in relation to the screen so that minimal if any digital keystone correction is required to fully and squarely fill the screen. A8.0 Additional Equipment Requirements: A9.0 Projector Mount: A9.1 The projector mount must securely hold the projector properly in place while allowing easy access for the changing and cleaning of air filters. A10.0 Projector Mount Pipe: A10.1 The pipe that connects the projector mount to the ceiling plate must be 1.5 in diameter so that video and audio cables can be neatly routed through the pipe. Pipe must be 8-12 long in order to allow for proper ventilation in and around the projector. Color is black. A11.0 Video and Audio Cables: A11.1 All cables that are routed above the ceiling must be plenum rated. A11.2 VGA cables - VGA cables must be 26-25AWG, 5-coax (RGBHV), 75 ohm, with
4 overall inner overlapping aluminum shield and outer copper braided shield with 95% coverage or higher. A11.3 Composite Video Cables Composite video cables must be RG-59, 75 ohm, coax type with a 20AWG center conductor. Outer shield must be braided copper with 95% coverage or better. A11.4 HDMI Cables HDMI cable should have an inline booster that does not require an external power supply. A11.5 RCA Audio Cables RCA audio cables must have four 18 to 22 AWG conductors with an outer shield plus a drain wire. Drain wire must be grounded at one end only.
5 A mm Audio Cables 3.5mm audio cables must have three 18 to 22 AWG conductors with an outer shield plus a drain wire. Drain wire must be grounded at one end only. A12.0 Projection Screen: (96 inches x 96 inches (2438 mm x 2438 mm). A12.1 Projection screen must be a manual pull down and 8 feet wide A Size. Screens must be securely mounted to the structure via a ceiling wire or chain on both ends of the screen. Butterfly clips attached to the T-bars without supporting wires, cables or chains will not be acceptable. Supporting wires, cables or chains must have a holding strength of 100lbs each or greater. Screen must have a black border on the sides the projected area. A13.0Ceiling Plate: A13.1 The ceiling plate will allow for the projector to be installed in a variety of locations. It will have a threaded flange that will allow for the mounting pipe to be fastened securely. It will also have a cutout that allows the electricians to easily and securely install a single gang electrical outlet. A trim flange surrounds the perimeter of the screen case to finish the installation in a suspended or drywall ceiling. Bottom of case and closure are furnished in ceiling white. A17.0 PROTECTION A18.0 DELIVERY, STORAGE, AND HANDLING A19.0 SUBMITTALS A17.1 Protect installed products until completion of project. A Touch-up, repair or replace damaged products before Substantial Completion. A18.1 Do not deliver projection screens until building is enclosed and other construction where screens will be installed is substantially complete. A Store products in manufacturer's unopened packaging until ready for installation. A Protect all equipment from damage during delivery, handling, storage, and installation. A19.1 Submit under provisions of Section A Draper Manufacturer s data sheets on each product to be used, including: A Preparation instructions and recommendations.
