3 Important Safety Instructions Please read instructions carefully before operation 1. To prevent risk of electric shock, do not remove the cover from the unit. Refer all servicing to qualified service personnel only. 2. Do not use the converter near water. 3. Clean with a dry cloth only. 4. Do not install or place this unit in a bookcase, built-in cabinet or in another confined space. Ensure the unit is well ventilated. 5. To prevent risk of electric shock or fire hazard due to overheating, do not obstruct the unit with newspapers, tablecloths, curtains or similar items. 6. Do not install near any heat sources such as radiators, heat registers, stoves, etc. 7. Unplug during lightning storms or when unused for a long time. 8. 4 Introduction The Rasfox HDMI to AV/RCA converter will convert a standard HDMI signal to standard CVBS/composite video signal and the FL / FR stereo audio signals so you can use it to connect the new media hardware (such as Blu-ray players, gaming consoles, Apple TV, and Sky WDTV consoles, etc.) to an older television or projector which only supports 3 RCA input. 5 How to use it 1. Take an HDMI cable and plug one end into the HDMI output port on your source device. Plug the other end into the input HDMI port on the converter. 2. Take a composite cable (Red/White/Yellow Color) and plug one end into the composite input jacks (Red/White/Yellow Jack) on your older TV or Projector. Plug the other end into the output jacks (Red/White/Yellow Jack) on the converter. 3. Check and switch the TV format Switch to the right format (PAL/NTSC) according to your TV or projector. 4. Plug the output end of power adapter into the DC Power jack. Plug the power adapter into an AC power outlet. Your converter is connected and ready for use now. HDMI to AV Converter Page 5

8 FAQ Frequently Asked Questions 1. What devices is the Rasfox converter box compatible with? This converter work well with a huge variety of sources, including Amazon Fire TV Stick, Roku Streaming Stick, Roku Media Player, Chromecast, Apple TV, Blu-ray player, PS3, PS4, Nvidia Android TV and many more. 2. Who will need this converter? Anybody who has an older television or projector in the home, office, or classroom that still works well but only support RCA input. If you have any media hardware released in just the past few years, such as Blu-ray players, gaming consoles, Apple TV, and Sky WDTV consoles, they most likely only support HDMI output, then you need this converter to connect with your older TV. 3. Why isn t my converter working? Our converters have been extensively tested and work well. It is solid constructed with a metal case and well packed for shipping, ensuring the product you receive should be of high quality. If you have any problems, there are some common issues that you should double-check: 1) Please make sure you have the correct converter needed for your project, please reference above FAQ 2. 2) The converter MUST have power to function. Please be sure plug the power adapter in and make sure the power adapter is working well. (You can test the power adapter by unplugging the HDMI cable from the converter and plugging only the power adapter in. If the LED indicator is red, the power adapter is working well, otherwise the power adapter is not working and you need to contact with us to get a replacement). 3) Your TV MUST be on the proper input. Generally, you must use your TV remote to change inputs until you get to the right one. Typically, the remote has a button labeled source or input, but this varies by TV and we do not maintain instructions for individual TVs. 4) Make sure that the red/white/yellow cables run from the converter into the red/white/yellow INPUTS on your TV. If you connect to your TV's outputs, this will NOT work. If you connect to red/green/blue inputs, the converter will not work (and your picture will likely be in black and white). Some TVs have a single set of inputs for composite and component connections. If you find that your picture is in black and white, you may be connecting to component connections (red/green/blue) rather than composite (red/white/yellow). 5) Your source device (Fire stick, Chromecast, etc.) must also be powered on. Check to make sure your cable is securely connected to the converter and TV. Check to make sure it is also plugged into the correct input on your TV. Make sure to plug your red/white audio cables in the correct red/white jacks on your TV, and unplug power to everything and let it reboot. If the sound still does not work, it could be a bad audio jack. Try the cable on another TV to identify if the problem is the converter or the TV. More questions? 10 Warranty 1 Year Limited Hardware Warranty. Lakesen hereby warrants to the customer of record that this product is in good-working condition and free from defects in material or workmanship under normal use for a duration of 1 year after the date of purchase. The product has been tested to meet the highest quality standards in each testing category. In the unlikely event that the product proves to be defective, Lakesen will repair or replace the product free of charge. If replacement is required and if Lakesen then no longer carries the same product, then Lakesen reserves the right to substitute the product with a replacement product of like quality and size, suitable for the intended use. This warranty is limited to repair or replacement of the mentioned product only, is nontransferable and does not extend to any product damaged by misuse, natural disasters or any other circumstances beyond Lakesen s control. The warranty does not cover or provide for the reimbursement or payment of incidental or consequential damage resulting from breach of the limited warranty described above.
