October 9, 2018 Tuesday Ask an adult to help you create a new space to read. Use blankets, pillows, cushions, chairs and anything else you can think of to make a reading fort or cave. Then crawl inside and read some of your favorite stories. If it is dark, try using a flashlight and make your reading time even more fun. The book Sam and The Firefly is the perfect book to read using a flashlight. See if you can spot the firefly on each page with your flashlight. Can you read the letters the firefly uses in his words? October 13, 2018 Saturday Gather a collection of leaves, acorns and pine cones from the ground. Bring the items home and use them as tools to paint a fall masterpiece! Roll the pine cone in paint and then roll it on your paper. Create different patterns with different pine cones. Paint the leaves and acorns and press them down on your paper.
