Inspection systems: multifunctional applicable
Viprotron technology Defects rich in contrast and sharp in contour (Bubbles, inclusions, scratches, dirt, foil residues, etc.) According to the actual standards like EN 1279 I or ASTM C1036 defect inspections should be executed in direct view through the glass in front of a bright background. Technically the Brightfield Channel is the ideal detection channel for these defects. Defects poor in contrast and weak in contour (Hair line scratches, weak roller- or cork marks, fingerprints, smear and haze) In this defect cluster the Darkfield Channel shows its strength. Simulating sunlight from the side, defects are recognized, which are almost or completely invisible in direct view. Coating defects (Coating scratches, pinholes, flakes and brush marks) To realize a reliable detection for coating defects there is no alternative to the Reflection Channel. Most of the coating defects are hardly visible in a view through the glass. Only a detection in direct reflection can guarantee a reliable control of coatings on glass. Defects in special glasses (Acid etched, sandblasted, laquered or enamelled glasses as well as mirrors) Not only transparent glasses, but also light diffusing and non transparent glasses can be controlled with our scanners. To inspect glass defects in non transparent glasses, the scanners check the sheets from the glass side in indirect reflection. Modularity According to the customer s needs Viprotron can offer different modular variants basing on the brightfield channel. When entering the scanner supported defect detection you can start with this base cost calculation in an effective way. When the market is asking for higher quality levels, additional channels can be installed or taylor made solutions can be provided to serve the most demanding customers. Conclusion The design of the illumination is key for the detection result. The performance of a scanner cannot be limited to single optical parameters like resolution or depth of focus!
