I loved how welcoming everyone was. It was so nice to come here alone and leave with new friends. MusiCamp Alberta 2016 Student What is it? MusiCamp Alberta is the provincial overnight summer music workshop. The faculty is comprised of world-class performers and teachers from professional ensembles, who work to cultivate artistry, discipline and an appreciation of music. Musical creativity is encouraged and the importance of each student is recognized. MusiCamp Alberta offers an immersive musical experience second to none and a summer artistic and personal transformation that will last a lifetime. Practice time, faculty recitals, master classes, chamber music, rehearsals, performances and organized recreational activities complete the camp experience. I love this camp and wish I never had to leave. MusiCamp Alberta 2016 Student Red Deer College Arts Centre Red Deer, Alberta MusiCamp Alberta workshops are held in the Arts Centre at Red Deer College in Red Deer, Alberta. This world-class performing arts facility is the perfect venue for musical success. Students live in the residence facilities on campus which consist of apartment-style accommodations. Each suite contains 4 single bedrooms with locking doors, a bath and kitchen/living area. Housing is arranged by age, gender and program so you will room with other members of your ensemble. The college cafeteria will provide full meal service and can accommodate those with dietary restrictions. What else? It s not just about music! Our team of trained supervisors ensures that every student is safe and well taken care of, twentyfour hours a day. Recreation activities include campfires, skit nights, dances, dorm activities and games.

Jazz Band Workshop August 6 12, 2017 Dive into the world of jazz music and refine your skills in improvisation, listening, style, phrasing, charts, chord reading and soloing. This workshop is perfect for if you have little or no jazz experience or if you are an advanced player wanting to build more skills. Musical Theatre Intensive + Performance August 6 19, 2017 Looking to take your musical theater experience to the next level? Students participate in an additional week of skill building classes and personalized coaching in acting, voice and dance. Join forces during performance week to put your skills to work producing and performing popular musical repertoire! Recommended if you are entering or completing Grades 9 12. Mature students interested in participating who do not meet the grade recommendation, please contact the Camp Director. Musical Theatre Performance August 13 19, 2017 Become the next triple threat as you learn vocal technique, performance ability, and choreography all while taking part in the production and performance of popular musical repertoire. Recommended for students Grades 7 12 with any level of experience.

What does it cost? Fees include registration, tuition, accommodation, meals, a t-shirt, lanyard and recreational fees. 1 week workshop: $695 2 week workshop: $1195 Scholarships & Bursaries There are a number of scholarships and bursaries available for students interested in attending camp. To apply directly for a scholarship or bursary please refer to the application forms and additional information on our website www.musicampalberta. com. Deadline for applications is April 30, 2017. Many schools, societies, festivals and service organizations also provide financial assistance for students to attend MusiCamp Alberta. Contact your teacher, service club or local music organization for more information. Outstanding MusiCamper Scholarship During each week of MusiCamp one camper who demonstrates leadership, musicianship, progress and enthusiasm will be selected to receive a scholarship to return to MusiCamp the following summer. For every friend you recommend that attends one of our overnight camps, you ll earn amazing discounts on your camp costs. Bring 1 friend 10% discount on your camp registration Bring 2 friends 15% discount on your camp registration Bring 3 friends 20% discount on your camp registration Bring 4 or more friends 25% discount on your camp registration Cancellations & Refunds Full refunds are available if the School of Continuing Education cancels a course. If you must withdraw from a course, simply notify us at least 30 days before the course begins and we will attempt to accommodate you in another course or issue you a refund less a $100 cancellation fee. Registrations canceled less than 30 days before the course start date will not be eligible for a refund. A $25 fee is charged for all NSF cheques. Waiver Within two weeks of registering, you will receive a welcome package and a mandatory waiver form to the email address you provide. The waiver will collect all information required to attend camp. This form must be submitted before you can participate in the camp. If a medical condition requires special attention or caution please notify the Camp Director prior to the start of camp. FOIPP Statement The personal information that you provide on this form is being collected under the authority of the Post-Secondary Learning Act and the Freedom of Information and Protection of Privacy Act of Alberta. The information will be used by the School of Continuing Education for purposes including registrations, providing tax receipts, recruitment, distributing follow-up educational information, college research, and statistical reporting. The information will be protected in compliance with the provisions of the Freedom of Information and Protection of Privacy Act of Alberta. The information may be disclosed to The Alberta Foundation for the Arts for reporting purposes. The information will be retained in accordance with information Management policy and guidelines.
